15 Days
( 繁 | 简 | 日 )Thursday, May 14, 2009 11:21AM / Standard Entry
A friend asked me to help out with this small movie. When I looked at the script and heard they were only giving 15 days to shoot it, I at first turned it down. Coz I knew that it was going to be a hell of a rough job to accomplish. But I'm not very good at turning people down... so after awhile I still agreed to do it. Like the Joker... "I'm a man of my woooord"....so since I agreed to help, I'll try to do everything I can to help... no matter how tired or how much pain there is. But.... eventhough most of the crew were exhausted and stressed... everyday on set was fun and happy. So all I can say is "thank you" to all the crew for making this such a memorable experience for me. And for 15 days, I think they pulled a miracle for being able to not only finishing on schedule, but also for the stuff we got.
Now for the way I look in the movie.... I tried not to laugh too.... but failed. hahaha. A lot of people have told me I don't suit this kinda of era. I guess they are right.
This is sort of my first time suiting up like this and playing a character of that time period. I wish I had more time to get used to it though. Kinda wrapped up by the time you get into things since it was such a short production. hahaThis is my coworker Sang Ping 桑平. He's huge!!! But don't let his size fool you. He might look like a giant... but he really is more like a puppy. hehe. He's super kind and fun to be around. Thanx for the ice cream yo!!! (eventhough I didn't eat it haha) diet sucks
Isn't he handsome?!?!?! I'm talking about the horse of course. No comparison. I love this horse. Super smart and looooooves to run. A little nudge and he bolts like the wind. If I ever could get a horse I would wish he could be just like him. Thank you Bolt!!! (that's what I call him)
In this shot I got my ASS burnt..... twice. Well maybe more since there were 2 different shots and a few different spots blowing up each take. Good thing I was still sleepy. Coz I didn't really feel anything haha.
My outfit got burnt and ruined on both sides. I dunno if the explosives master was trying to blow me up or not but it seemed like each time he would detonate only when I was right next to the explosive spots..... yeah.... thanx... !@#!@%!%!@#$
Many firsts in this project for me. First time suiting up in these outfits... first time getting blown up... first time showing more skin.... and first time... um... kinda getting intimate.

This is my favorite outfit.... and favorite pic. Dunno if it's coz of the lighting or if it's coz i'm just dirty. Yes.... I like it dirty. hehe j/k
Well I dunno how this will turn out. But like I said... for what it's worth.. I think we did a spendid job for only having 15 days to work on this. Ok folks. I'm gonna go back to resting. Hibernate for the summer.

Departures
( 繁 | 简 | 日 )Saturday, Apr 18, 2009 2:28AM / Standard Entry
Been wanting to watch <<Departures>> <<禮儀師之奏鳴曲>> for a long time but couldn't find someone to go with. Finally watched it today and I would have to say that this is one of the best movies I've watched this year. And maybe even longer. I can't recall ever hearing so many people sniffling in the audience. But this isn't a sad movie... it's something that touches people instead of sad scenerios where it leaves you sad and bitter.
Speaking of departures.. I'm leaving tomorrow for China. Promised a friend I'd help out in a low budget production. So much to do in such a short time.... probably gonna come back all banged up. Seems like i'm complaining now but if I didn't come back banged up I'll probably be complaining about that too. Haha. J/k. Should be back within 3 weeks. Hope the playoffs isn't over so I can watch Miami kick ass!!! Although I really don't see anyone getting past the Cavs.
Peace!!

Motivation
( 繁 | 简 | 日 )Thursday, Apr 16, 2009 10:28AM / Standard Entry
Been trying to get things together. Trying to get in shape... settle agreement with new management... get my own imaginations onto paper. But after awhile... it could get tiring... eventhough you've been moving forward for some time, the road seems just as far as when you first started. Kinda needed to find some motivation... and well... being sort of the loner I am..
I just went and just found some good speeches to listen to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WO4tIrjBDkk&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M76lMUEX0fo
Listening to these, it made me think about more than just motivation. It made me think about what's important to me. What kind of principles I might have. What I work hard at. I know no one can be perfect... and well... I'm probably not even close enough to be labelled good in many ways. But I DO know... the one thing I am good at or that I try very hard to do. And that is keeping my word... being honest. In the 2nd Vid, it really got to me when he said, "Being able to look your friends in the eye, and know that you didn't let me them down... because you told them the truth." The reason these words stuck out to me is because it seems lately, I just keep getting lied to. Well... after awhile... it just really sucks. Eventhough I know no one likes being lied to but I really really detest it. Many people just don't understand how a simple lie can affect someone. A lot of times, they might be thinking they are doing the person a favor by lying and making something up. Making it seem as though they are doing it for the sake of the others. Sometimes it could be. But in most cases, they're just lying to themselves. The only person they're doing good for is themselves by telling these lies because they don't want to get in trouble. Greed gets the best of us. A lot of times, if you know the person you care about or love will get mad, well then don't do it... or talk about it and work it out before hand. Lies start from greed and temptations to give into something when in the moment, you forget who you can hurt or affect from this action. Often we know who we're hurting, but we just neglect them coz of our own selfishness. Of course I think everyone has the right to privacy. And if these secrets doesn't really have anything to do with others then I don't see any harm in not wanting to tell. But remember this... "treat others as you would have them treat you." It really is that simple. But no matter how many lies that come my way... no matter how much bs like "oh my family is in town".. or "i'm at my manager's"... I won't do this back to anyone else... coz it's not how I invision my world to be. So I'll just walk away from these people and hope the ones who I care about and love, can deal with one less sin while I'm around. One thing I'm also working on myself is just knowing when you're wrong and not being too embarrased or arrogant to apologize. A lot of times, no matter how big you screwed up, a REAL apology is all that's needed. Don't be so arrogant to think that your lies are so good that you can get away so easily. A lotta times, these lies are so bad and easily seen throw... but people love you too much to tell you they know about it. And... you're not only hurting them but also mocking their intellegence. You know... in some ways, acting is sort of lying. Becasue you're trying to make people believe you're something you're not. So... since I'm already lying/acting as an occupation, I don't want to have to fucking act and lie while I'm trying to live my life too. At the same time, I think the more bs people try to throw my way, the more I grow. I learn I can take the hits and able to move forward.... like how Rocky says it haha.

If you read the comments in this clip, well at time mark 1:24 the girl who mocked her for having the dream to be a singer probably feels pretty stupid now with so many people dissing her. And yes what they all said is very true. Don't judge a book by it's cover. When the time comes, no matter how much crap people have given you, no matter how many people ridicule you, if you've worked hard and keep on trying to follow your dreams..... it might just come true.
Keep striving... and good luck... may your dreams come true.

Some of My Favorite Things
( 繁 | 简 | 日 )Monday, Feb 16, 2009 12:29AM / Standard Entry
Lately I've been quite free. Just had to go back and forth to China to... well... talk I guess. During this time I watched some movies... read a book... play games... and well searched the web. It's amazing the things you do for amusement might turn out to have a great affect on you. So in this entry I guess I just want to share with people the things have have caught my eyes and who knows.... it might have a great effect on you too. (hopefully in a good way haha)
This first thing I came across long time ago. To me, this is the most amazing creature on the planet.... it's just so cool. I've shown a lotta friends this but most of the think it's fake. But well it's in wikipedia so... i think it's real. :P http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pistol_shrimp This creature is called the Pistol Shrimp. Kinda reminds me of something from Final Fantasy haha.

I hardly ever read. Like EVER! And well after a friend told me to try, I did. I recently just finished this book named <Q&A>. This is like the 2nd book in my life that I got on my own without anyone introducing me to. And well I really really enjoyed it. I was surfing the web one day looking movie trailers. And i came across this film named <Slumdog Millionaire>. This was before it was nominated for awards and stuff. Somehow the trailer looked really appealing. So I looked it up and found that it was adapted from a book. Honestly the way the author writes isn't great or anything... but the story and the structure of the book is just hands down brilliant. Can't wait to watch the movie. Maybe i'm a novel noob and don't know much about books.... but I hope if anyone might be interested in reading it will enjoy it as much as I did. Or you can just watch the movie hehe.
Ok the next is something that gets me going or I feel like I have to work harder or strive more. It's watching my favorite basketball player... Dwyane Wade! I know some people can say that there might be better players or something that... but the reason D.Wade is my favorite player is his heart for the game. Not only does he play hard and get roughed up a lot.... he also loves to share the ball and make people around him better. i remember watching a game when A.Morning first came back and Wade was really trying to feed him the ball... give him his confidence back after Morning had been absent from competition for awhile. You could see how much he enjoys playing and just doing what's best for the team. He's a warrior that puts his body out each and every game. In some ways i think he's lucky. The way he plays sometimes you really cringe at how he ends up falling smack on the floor. If some of you haven't followed basketball for awhile... then maybe you can describe him as somewhat a mix of Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant. Except... he loves sharing more and gets along more with others than those two players haha. The Beijing Olympics were actually a pretty sad time for me... but everytime i watched a game of USA I would forget a lot of those troubles for that 4 quarters of the game. And if you watched the gold medal game between USA and Spain... then I can flat out say D.Wade was one of the reasons they got that medal. He flat out turned the game around everytime the States seemed like they were in trouble. Hehe I probably might get a lot of people who might argue with me about this. Talking about sports players and stuff always get people arguing haha. But just keep in mind these are my thoughts... and I'm his fan... i don't ask anyone else to be.

Too many vids of D.Wade to pick from... so i just put a few up here. You pick which u wanna watch haha.

Well... speaking of basketball... here.. to me.. is one of the greatest commercials of the greatest player to ever play the game... Michael Jordan.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlyOgVFYLXE&feature=channel_page
Maybe he didn't write those dialogues... but boy oh boy... these words being said by him... just reminds you that if you want to achieve something... u gotta work hard for it. Things don't just come to people easily. Accept pain, enjoy the victory. The harder you work and the more pain you savour.... the greater the victory will taste. One of the best commercials ever in my opinion.
The last thing I wanna share is a movie named <Seven Pounds> which is done by Will Smith. The movie is ok... but the idea in it has affected me. Um... if you're planning on watching this movie the don't read this.. hehe... I don't wanna ruin the movie for you. That goes for you too Radwynn and EQuinn. Don't worry about translating or anything if you're planning on watching this movie. :P
After watching this movie, i think i'm gonna follow what he did. Not as drastic... but i think I want to sign away any of my organs that can help someone the day i pass. Hopefully I'm healthy enough and in doing so, I hope I'm actually helping and not doing someone a bad thing. I mean I hope if whoever needs a vital organ to stay alive, will live a happy life in the future and not suffer more. If that happens then I would feel as though I did a bad thing. Hope that won't be the case. Anyhow... I have no idea how any of this works so I'll probably have to ask around and get my body checked up more.
OK... that's what my past few weeks have been like. Kinda boring yeah... hope you all had a wonderful Valentines and a much funner weekend than I did.
Peace
