Ok I'm not promoting another site haha but I find it pretty awesome that the CEO of Red Mango frozen yogurt, Dan Kim, put my photo from the SF Marathon
up on the official Myspace page as the profile pic!
Check it out:

Wow, I just returned from my first ever visit to Las Vegas. It's a bit hard to sum up into words the awesomeness of my weekend. :) We stayed at the MGM Grand which was pretty cool although it had some seriously annoying elevator issues. We started the weekend out by attending the cirque du soliel show, KA, and continued the fun with checking out one of the coolest nightclubs i've ever seen called, TAO, and finishing things off with a night of drinking 80oz beers from plastic guitars.... ;) Pictures of all to follow once I've got them. Simply an amazing time. I don't think I've laughed that much in years. I can't wait to go back and catch more shows! Viva Las Vegas! :)

The view from our hotel room window. It was over 100 degrees every day!
The second great news is that Mark put the album I just recorded on my computer up on my AnD page!!! (thanks Mark!). You can just click on a song and let it stream and it will randomly cycle through the album, or click on specific songs. It's the first time I have recorded songs really and I had a great time doing it. All I used was an $8 usb mic and my computer so it was ultra cheap. :) I'm playing all the instruments and singing (trying to!). It doesn't sound too bad I guess. Hopefully my next album will be a bit better quality and have some more cheerful songs. Anyway I hope you check it out if you haven't already!

Well I ran the SF Marathon today. I actually ended up only running the 2nd half as my work buddies convinced me the full marathon just hurts your body too much. I am still recovering though! I ran the 13.2 miles in 1 hour 29 minutes. My average per mile speed was 6:52 and I finished 79 total out of all the runners. (28 for my age group 30-39). I'm really happy with my results as it was the first time to run that distance in a race. I may do the full marathon next year, but we'll have to see! I'll post pictures up here as soon as I get them which should be Wednesday of this week!
I'm also going to Las Vegas later this week for the first time in my life. I can't wait! It's funny because I have no expectations besides that it's going to be awesome! :) I'm going with 2 of my favorite people too, so I know we are going to have a blast. I'll certainly blog about that as well and maybe post some photos too.
Fun fun!

I saw a last minute show by Dave Chappelle last night at Cobb's Comedy Club in S.F. It was really funny. Halfway through Mos Def came on stage and did some rapping and then they just sat around and talked with the crowd. Basically you could ask them anything you wanted (questions being asked about Obama, smoking weed, pick up lines, etc!) and they would make jokes or discuss whatever the topic was. It was very intimate and a totally unique experience. Chappelle is brilliant though, very quick and open to talking with the audience about any topic they could come up with.
On another note, My mother and I are planning a trip to Ireland in October. Neither of us have ever been there and it's where our ancestors are from, so we figure it's about time. I'll fill in more details on that trip once I get them. It should be amazing though! I'll take lots of pictures and post them up here. Speaking of pictures here are a couple from my recent trip to New York for our family reunion.

My mom's dog, Monty, doing what he does best.

Chicago's Ohare airport walkway. I've always liked this spot.

Work has been pretty crazy lately! I've been traveling down to Santa Monica every Thursday to meet with the Yahoo Music team. It's fun, but flying every week is a bit tiring. Hopefully I will be able to do video conferencing from here on out.
Speaking of flying, I just got back from a family reunion/step-father birthday party in New York last weekend. It was really fun and I had a chance to hang out with my 5 nieces and nephews (my brother has 5 kids). They don't speak english, even though they live just outside of New York City. It gives me a chance to practice my Japanese! They are super cute kids.
The weather in San Francisco has been amazing! It was 78 the other day and sunny everyday. I've been spending a lot of time outside, running about 24 miles a week and taking lots of pictures (which I will post up here soon!).
Well here are a couple pictures from last month's San Francisco Asian American Film Fest. It was at the West32nd after party. Great to see Pat and Dan again and meet some new people from the Bay Area. Hopefully I'll get over to HK soon to see the crew again. It's been a few years since I saw Mark or Etchy jeez! Hope everyone is doing well though and enjoying the Spring!

Me, Lisa, and Pat

Pat took a break from his drink for this one... ;)
