ok, here's a quickie "nerd" post --

been watching this anime series called inuyasha. i'm watching the japanese version with english subtitles. it's a looooong series (160+ episodes), but i'm finally almost done.

and after watching all of these episodes, i have to get this off of my chest: kagome has got to be one of the most annoying characters in the history of anime. i cannot stand her at all.

looks like i'm not the only one.

update: just finished the last episode (167) and .... it didn't end!! it looks like they stopped making them, but the manga continues the story. doh! this is just like what happened with slam dunk.

well..slam dunk u can finish it reading 9 more comics..but inuyasha..I think u need some...20 numbers LOL
I would reccomend Azumnaga Daioh for a good laugh if anime, and Yotsuba if manga =)

ahh i did start that series ages ago but got side tracked... hmm, have you checked out bleach or naruto?? it's sooo awesome! oh and also an must see old classic is full metal achemist! if you haven't seem them you really should do. :)

I dipped a foot into Inuyasha and almost broke my toe. Kagome? Not a fleshed out character. Just a foil to Inuyasha - as is Kikyō.

Seriously, man, what would shonen do with decent female characters? You'd get a nerve-tatteringly loud "'Hull integrity breached". Followed by a POOOF! (disintegration of target group).

That said. errrm. I do generally like Shonen.

My gosh, and I only up to 10 episodes and already complaining. 160+ episodes, I did not know that...better stop before it's too late...sucks when they hang us like that...aya

oh yeah...forgot to mention...
Viz has already licensed North American distribution rights to the upcoming second Inuyasha series. So yes, this is definitely confirmed.

I've got some good (or bad?) news for you.
There will be more Inuyasha anime coming this fall in Japan. It's going to cover the last 22 volumes of the manga.

I haven't watched Inuyasha yet but I understand the frustration of the manga continuing but the anime stopping. I had so wished they would've continued on with Slam Dunk. :(
