  Today we have higher buildings and wider highways,but shorter temperaments and narrower points of view;
  今天我们拥有了更高层的楼宇以及更宽阔的公路，但是我们的性情却更为急躁，眼光也更加狭隘；

  We spend more, but enjoy less;
  我们消耗的更多，享受到的却更少；

  We have bigger houses, but smaller families;
  我们的住房更大了，但我们的家庭却更小了；

  We have more compromises,but less time;
  我们妥协更多，时间更少；

  We have more knowledge, but less judgment;
  我们拥有了更多的知识，可判断力却更差了；

  We have more medicines, but less health;
  我们有了更多的药品，但健康状况却更不如意；

  We have multiplied out possessions, but reduced out values;
  我们拥有的财富倍增，但其价值却减少了；

  We talk much, we love only a little, and we hate too much;
  我们说的多了，爱的却少了，我们的仇恨也更多了；

  We reached the Moon and came back, but we find it troublesome to cross our own street and meet our neighbors;
  我们可以往返月球，但却难以迈出一步去亲近我们的左邻右舍；

  We have conquered the outer space, but not our inner space;
  我们可以征服外太空，却征服不了我们的内心；

  We have higher income, but less morals;
  我们的收入增加了，但我们的道德却少了；

  These are times with more liberty, but less joy;
  我们的时代更加自由了，但我们拥有的快乐时光却越来越少；

  We have much more food, but less nutrition;
  我们有了更多的食物，但所能得到的营养却越来越少了；

  These are the days in which it takes two salaries for each home, but divorces increase;
  现在每个家庭都可以有双份收入，但离婚的现象越来越多了；

  These are times of finer houses, but more broken homes;
  现在的住房越来越精致，但我们也有了更多破碎的家庭；

  That's why I propose, that as of today;
  这就是我为什么要说，让我们从今天开始；

  You do not keep anything for a special occasion. Because every day that you live is a SPECIAL OCCASION.
  不要将你的东西为了某一个特别的时刻而预留着，因为你生活的每一天都是那么特别；

  Search for knowledge, read more ,sit on your porch and admire the view without paying attention to your needs;
  寻找更我的知识，多读一些书，坐在你家的前廊里，以赞美的眼光去享受眼前的风景，不要带上任何功利的想法；

  Spend more time with your family and friends, eat your favorite foods, visit the places you love;
  花多点时间和朋友与家人在一起，吃你爱吃的食物，去你想去的地方；

• Amazing Race

  today, we had the 'amazing race', which is a kind of activity set by MOE(ministry of education) for us to finish some tasks within a certain time. we had to go to 5 different places according to some hints. when we got each place, we had to complete a form by consulting some local people. Our group (GROUP ONE) came 2nd in this race. so we received a certificate and each member got two towels as the bonus. it sounds exciting, but actually very tiring. as we had to be fast we kept running and never had time to take photos.

  ah..............tired~~~

  when we got to a concert hall for our task, i saw someone cosplaying D-gray Man~ cooool~

• hi, guys, in Singapore Now

  I'm arrived in Singapore yesterday. as there are too many things to do(OMG, IN A MESS!!!),  i didn't go to bed until 3 o'clock this morning~~~!!!!!

  oooooooooooooooooops, anyway, i'm in Singapore, safe though tired. i may study in NTU(isn't decided yet, it's up to some teachers and officers).

  it seems that i won't be able to get online or get here as frequently as before, miss you all

• laughing acquaintance

  i will leave for Sigapore on December 1st. so i have a week off to prepare for it. last week, i had some of my friends left some messages for me on a notebook.

  i have three best friends~ Jennifa.M, Aileen.C and Sally.W~ they certainly left some messages for me. Jennifa's handwriting is still poor though, hahaha...well, Aileen is cool as usual. Sally is a bit too sad... Aileen mentioned an appointment made in our military training. we promised to meet each other at February 14th, 2015, at the gate of Master of Nets with a rose in hand. haha... i'm glad that we both remember that. and i asked jennifa to join us. and i'll draw Sally in.

  i also had some laughing acquaintance left messages. i call them laughing acquaintance because we are not close friends, we don't know everything of each other, we don't have to know. when we meet , we always tell some jokes and laugh together, no painful or serious topics, just enjoy 5 munites' talk, and then say bye happily. in our memory, there aren't any sadness or argument or any unpleasant discovery on each other's characteristics. all we have are some happy and easy memories. that's good in a way, i think. less pressure. most of these friends said i am always a happy girl, always laughing and spreading laughters. u am very glad to know that. they also felt a little regretful, but most of them support my decision and wish me a bright future. 'Twinne' said, cheer up girl, sadness is not your style. we are young with few worries now, so we should appreciate and enjoy it now. just laugh to last and i'll be there for you, with my biggest smile.

  i cried when i got home. i know maybe i won't see them any more. one may say, u can meet again, right? if you want. don't be so silly. but actually, it's really hard to say. to be practical, they all have their own business and schedules and close friends. after many years' separation, we will have different ideas, new places, new phone numbers, we may even forget each others' name as we are actually not that important to each other. unlike my close friends, we have few reasons to meet again. maybe many years later when i come back, we could meet in a street by chance and then greet and smile to each other and have a talk for a while, then say goodbye again (if we could recognize each other). that's a little sad but that's the reality.

  well, all i can do is to treasure the joyful momery and wish these friends health and happiness.
