  • Farewell London, Hello Japan

    Sunday, Aug 23, 2009 9:15PM / Members only

After many meetings I finally got the result back: I am the winner! Now I can launch all the things that were living already in my mind.
It took a lot of work and effort to get this result, in the end it was all worth it.

As I am so happy right now there were also some minors.
Last Friday I had to say goodbye to my very dear ones, the time together will stay in my heart. Next year I'll see them again.

Right now I have to arrange a lot of work and soon it is time to kick off. The weekend is not over over yet so I am going to chill out for a while.

  • London As Usual

    Tuesday, Jul 14, 2009 11:52PM / Members only

Yep, back in London again 4 work.
Lots of stuff to manage so lots of stuff to eat after work, for 2night Thai food is on, let's see if I can find some really spicy dishes on their menu.

Friday I'll be flying back, so it is not too bad.
I miss my Ca Phe Dak Lak  in the mornings though , the coffee over here is not on for me. I guess I am too spoiled drinking real coffee.

Besides work over here I got the invite letter for my 'final' meeting. So exciting, in two weeks I'll know if I suceeded or not.

    Cheers from London.

  • The Phone Call

    Friday, Jul 10, 2009 6:02PM / Members only

Yesterday my lunch was interrupted by a phone call: number unknown. As I was expecting the phone call that would possibly interfere with my holiday plans I thought that this was it...and it was.

The news was good and bad at the same time; I was still in the race but so is someone else. The week after next week will be D-Day.

Next week I am in London and will be quite busy. My upcoming weekend and the weekend next I will schedule some enjoyable stuff in and this includes food of course.
In fact my weekend will start in 30 minutes from now, so on my way home I can mentally work out my plan and call some friends.

I am super happy that the phone call was a good one. The end result will be in two weeks from now. I am going for it.

    Have a nice weekend everybody!

  • Chan ga hap

    Monday, Jul 6, 2009 5:06PM / Members only

Food is an integral part of my life and especially when I am too busy and have multiple projects moving on. All these projects need a lot of attention and than there is also my holiday coming up. The outcome of one of the projects could result in the fact that I have to rearrange my holiday plans, which isn't bad at all because of winning that particular one is one of my targets. Losing a part of my holiday will of course than be compensated with food.

So there I was, waking up last Saturday and looking out of the window I saw a beautiful day ahead, the weather looked very promising. After treating myself on a French breakfast and freshly brewed ca phe Daklak I invited some dear family to enjoy some food I really enjoy very much. One of them is "chan ga hap".

The food was great and we had a good time. We went home and sat in the garden enjoying some good wine. A perfect day indeed.

Today back at work I am prepping for tomorrow; the big day. At the end of the week I'll have the result, let's wait and see.

  • Friday the 13th

    Friday, Mar 20, 2009 8:17PM / Members only

Last week Friday the 13th I returned from London. On the airport they have a PC shop specialized in MACs. As the Pound sterling compared with the Euro is quite low, I decided to bring back an iMAC.

n the shop they had the newest 24" version, the middle model was out of stock so I bought the machine wiith the highest system specs.

Arriving at the airplane door to get in I was told that the box was too big. After talking with the hostess kindly if she could help me out it was decided that the box could go on the flight deck for this time only.

Arriving at my destination a custom officer came to me and said: "Your box cannot go further, please step aside". After asking why he told me that he was only joking....can you imagine???

Anyways making my way to the bagage claim area I saw that at every exit custom officers were checking passenger's luggage. I took a cart and placed the big iMAC box flat on it and I placed my travel luggage on top of it. Walking to the custom officers almost every passenger was asked to open up their luggage. When it was my turn they smiled and told me to carry on.

And the rest is history, I am now enjoying working on my iMAC and I love it.
