New BMW M3 and M4 to Launch in India - 2014

The Bavarian Motor Works (BMW), the German luxury car manufacturer, is planning to launch its new series of vehicles namely Sedan M3 and M4 Coupe in India on November 26, 2014. This fleet of new cars enhances the wide range of BMW’s portfolio of cars in India. The company targets towards people who have a zeal for driving mean machines. The company showcased the new designed cars globally at the Detroit Motor Show held in 2014, making the end of the year more interesting.

BMW has already launched several new and amazing ranges of vehicles in India during 2014. BMW made a promising note of making 2014 an interesting year in India. The company confirmed its BMW M3, which is 40,000th vehicle rollout from their Chennai facility in India.

Features to Look Out

Both the BMW M3 and M4 have a similar engine. The German engineers did not tuned engines differently. They are powered by twin-turbo inline six-cylinder and 3.0-litre engine to have an output of over 450 bhp.

Both M-badged vehicles will be coupled to a 7-speed M double clutch transmission. BMW offers a 6-speed manual gearbox option in international markets but it is not offered in India. Both the engines will produce 550 Nm of peak torque with 425 horsepower. However the maximum speed is limited to 250 kph. They can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph within 4.1 seconds.

The BMW made a lot of change in the design of M3 compared to its previous vehicle but few new elements make it to stand as the first in its series of vehicles. The extra added features for the M3 include a bigger wheel arches, a small boot spoiler, new bonnet and redesigned front grille. The expected price of BMW M3 is 1.15 - 1.30 crores whereas BMW M4 is 1 - 1.20 crores.
