Rip Oscar my Dear Friend , I will miss you so much!!!

Greetings all .
It is a very sad day here in the Wolfshead residence , my dog / dear friend and companion for the last 13 years has just been put to sleep . I am still reeling a little I must confess, so forgive me if I burble !
A little History of Oscar :)
Well where to start I first came across him and his brother when they were 4 weeks old and being typical manic English Bullterrier puppies , a heady mixture of energy , willfulness and destructive tendencies all rolled into one package that could sit on the palm of your hand !

In his adolescent years , he developed true connesuiristic tastes , no long decimating sofas ( Six in total to be precise )and devoted his passions to critiquing Ellie's taste in footwear in a very obvious manner !

Finally in later years he could be found indulging in an occasional glass of champagne , no cheap sparkling wine for him !

He spent the golden years of his life here in France , terrorising the locals with just his mere prescence ( I can still hear the cries of " Thats not a dog that is the size of a cow" ) But ever the pacifist he would just gaze at the poor unfortunates and patently ignore them afterwards :)
Sadly today the decision had to be made , the liver cancer was inoperable and we decided that quality of life is far more important than quantity .

He will be dearly missed and never forgotten , crazy red tasmanian devil type Bullterrier creation that he was !

I miss you already my dear friend .

such is life, when I lost last time my dog (old black Royal Eunuch of mi family in the age of 13.. i think) I was really down a long time. even it was a really sick dog.. I miss every dog I can remember... funny, because I don't miss mi relatives who I've lost..

It's always hard to let go of a pet/ animal companion even though in your heart that making them hold on will inevitably make them suffer all the more. I understand your pain. We had to do the same to one our dogs a few years ago. I feel bad that you have had to go through the same. Just remember, you did it for everyone's peace of mind.

My condolences for your loss. I have been where you are right now. It's really hard, aye? Just a few years ago, we had to make the decision to have or fur-child, our beagle Scarlett (yes, my namesake), put to sleep. She was 14. She was named for the feisty Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone With the Wind." She lived up to her name with her strong will, always lady-like dispostion and fiery passion for the things she loved (mostly chasing rabbits).

By now, Oscar has likely already met Scarlett. The lady that she is, I'm sure she greeted him at the gates and is now showing him where all the best couches to shred are and where to find the best treats. He's gonna be OK.

May the peace of knowing you did what's right visit your heart...

Oh rob i am so sorry. As a huge dog fan i understand the pain of losing a part of the family. I have a great love of my own in molly and we send you and ellie lots of hugs

aww, sorry to hear about poor Oscar. Making those decisions is always so hard but like you said quality of life is more important that quantity.

Robert Wolfshead Black Magic Book:
Robert has been a practicing occultist and witch for 25 years; he has had several articles printed in some of the most prestigious magazines within this field.
Currently he is working on a new publication focusing on what many term as black magic. The work will cover in detail the subject from the earliest Sumerian times until present day, the wonderful thing about this book is that it will contain the original spell work of various cultures, with translations coming from cuneiform, hieroglyphics and Greek papyrus to name but a few.

A little biography of Mr Wolfshead:
Born and raised in the south of England, Robert’s keen intelligence was quickly apparent with him reading the likes of M.R. James and Edgar Allen Poe at the mere age of nine!
Brought up in a 650 year old haunted house it is no surprise he delved into the world of mysteries, mythology and the most unusual, through books he travelled back in time to all ages and cultures and it is these bye gone times coupled with the modern that have shaped his work today.
It was on his family’s estate land, which has been occupied continually through history, that he found flint arrowheads, civil war cannon balls, regency glass and Victorian artefacts, fuelling his interests and leading to Robert studying archaeology and history.
Robert worked in the world of antiques for 15 years, gaining a well-respected name for himself with his expert knowledge and passion, it was through this that his interest in photography developed and led to him devoting himself full time to his photography and writing.
At this time Robert resides in France with his pets, library and some of the finest selections of spirits. He continues to provide some of the most beautiful and unusual works of art to date.
