Richard Trombly is an American writer, journalist and filmmaker with 5 years in Shanghai. He is a devoted father to his two children and frequently jumps the pond (the pacific ocean and 12 time zones) to visit his kids who are both fluent in Mandarin after 4 years previously living in China.
After 20 years of business and journalistic writing and editing experience, Richard has returned to his interest in film. He has recently completed the Chinese language short film "Dengdai (The Waiting)" and is working on another Chinese short "Realtime Data"
He is Associate Producer of the film "Distance Runners" (2009) by China Venture Films to be shot in Yunnan, China in early 2009.
He is interested in environmental sustainability and space exploration (and exploitation.) He also likes to take long solo bike, canoe or hiking expeditions.
