Hailing from New York City, Re:Flex, a.k.a. Lex Looper, a.k.a. DJ EZ Panamaniac, a.k.a. Dutch Shultz, a.k.a. El DJ, a.k.a. DJ 1 Up, started with break dancing and was quickly introduced to DJing at the age of 17 by his mentor Radel Esca of Echelon Productions. With this first introduction to the Hip Hop culture, and experimenting with all kinds of sounds, he has molded his cross genre style into a provocative musical experience.
Having relocated to Hong Kong in 2007, where he started E.V.E.N.T. - An International Artists Company with his partner in crime Kate Sullivan, Re:Flex has rocked parties from Dragon-I to HITEC Star Hall, Kowloon to South Bay Beach. Supporting acts like the Ting Tings, the Cuban Brothers, and Howie B as well as performing in Bangkok, and his home turf of the US. Having learned to adjust his style to the ever-changing crowd, Re:Flex has remained true to his roots and has never shied away from his funky, soulful, bass banging past. Listeners have dubbed his sets as unpredictable, esoteric, and f-r-r-esh.
Always a student of his craft, Re:Flex is constantly reinventing himself on the decks and is truly a force to be reckoned with in the years to come.
