It may be a little early for holiday shopping ... but this year, I'm trying to get a head start by scoping fun things out on the net.  Then  I came across this product, THE BANANA BUNKER®  bt Paul Stremple at the MOMA giftshop.  The description reads:

Hrm.  I do hate a bruised bananas for lunch ... so a protective case seems like a creative solution ... but ... hrrrmmmm.  What do you think of this mod design?  .
