WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY?

So many times we get asked this question and it usually takes us more than 10 minutes to come up with an answer: 1) If they're going to get it for you, you want to make sure it's a gift you'll be satisfied with; and 2) You want to make sure they can afford it!

But there's more to this than meets the eye! Yeah, your birthday commemorates the day you entered this world to join the rest of us... but now what? Well, instead of expecting the whole day to be about you, why not bless someone else - say, a loved one, or even a stranger, a coworker, or a friend? Ever hear of Lord of the Rings? The hobbits GAVE presents to others on their birthdays instead of receiving any!

Now in our trying economic crisis, that may be a difficult thing to do (even for them!), so why not just be a blessing to others the best way you can think possible? That way, with or without thanks and recognition for your efforts, you would have done a good deed! Is being unselfish and doing good such a bad thing?

In conclusion, Happy Birthday to those whose birthday it is today and any other day!!! You're alive and well (hopefully), and today is another opportunity to be a blessing!!!

We saw a photo of the Imagine Peace Tower over in Reykjavik, Iceland - dedicated to John Lennon... beautiful sight!  And we read somewhere, that the words "Imagine Peace" is carved out on the light pillar in 24 languages!!! (O_O)

So, had a thought... imagining Peace is great... but making Peace is different, 'cause its conditions are unwavering, and it mustn't be abused for personal gain.
