Rain Don't think entertainment business as an hobby its part of performing arts. You must enjoy what you love and even with disaster revolving among our life telling human story and life it self could be capture in film or camera its like capture moments in your life. A good film maker grow mature as their life revolve in time. Make sure you enjoy what you love and be persisant. Control your emotions and understand them and write it down and listen the inner voice.
It's a pleasure to hear from you. I have been to Lhasa with my mother several years ago. I really enjoyed meeting the local people. Making films is all about telling a good story -- enjoy the process!
Thanks for your message. I have never been to tibet before, and if i have the chance, i would certainly love to travel there in the future!
Talking about making films, if I were to make a film in tibet, i probably have to stay there for a few years, get to know the people and their life, and every little thing, before i can write a story about it.. coz i dont wanna depict anything wrong or stupid about the culture, just like what most Hollywood films did about Asian countries and cultures! :)
Hi, Tibet's a great place! I visited a while back and shot a home movie of my travels. I'd love to make a real movie there. I think I would need some encouragement from the Chinese government though and I don't see that coming my way soon.
I think a comedy about a Tibetan song and dance group would be fun to do though. Throw in a dead tourist and their dying wish to have a Sky Burial without quite understanding how that works. And there's quite a bit of cross cultural misunderstanding to play with. Music and Comedy are always good things to have in a movie.
