Catch Wrestling Catch Wrestling is wrestling that originated in Lancashire, England. It's said that it origin of the present wrestling.

It also known as Lancashire-wrestling, Catch-as-catch-can, or Catch.

It has variouse systematized techniques, Take Down(tackle and throwing), Break Down(ground positioning), Submission(joint lock and chokehold), Pin(arts fo pinfall), and these techniques are passed into the present professional wrestling.

有名な格闘家としては、故 カール・ゴッチ、その弟子である ジョシュ・バーネットが居る。

Karl Gotch(the deceased... sigh...) and his disciple Josh Barnettare famous martial artists they use Catch Wrestling.



Karl Gotch trained Catch Wrestling for 2 years in Billy Riley Gym called "The Snake Pit", it was real in Lancashire.

Josh Barnett is today's top mixed martial arts fighter. He's fanatic about Japanese Manga Comics and Anime, so he called "the world's strongest OTAKU".

Josh says that he likes " BAOH" more than " JOJO". I think we are on the same wavelength as each other, Josh... I do believe that "BAOH" is Araki's true masterpiece, too.

>Phil Thanks, I'm flattered. btw, Is "The Snake Pit" carried on now? I read that Billy Riley died in 1977, and another person kept running it... but I don't know after that. How has it become after that?
