Nightmare of early summer／初夏の夜の恐怖

さて…我が家に何が起こったか、お話し致しましょう…

Now then... I'll tell you what happened on our house...


ある蒸し暑い日の夜、母の部屋に、恐ろしい事が起こったのです…

On one very muggy night... a terrible incident happened at my mom's room...


真夜中、母は、とある気配で、目を覚ましました。彼女が耳にしたのは、小さな羽音…

At middle of the night... mom woke up with some weird atmosphere... she felt very feeble hollow booming...


電気を点けて見ると…部屋中に、羽蟻がいっぱい飛び回っていたのです！！！

Immediately turning on the light, she found a lot of ant flies were buzzing around her room!!!




あわてて、蟻の駆除をしてもらう事にしました。幸いな事に、母のお友達の息子さんが大工さんをしていて、一度見てあげる、と、やって来てくれました。

So, we decided to call an exterminator in haste. Fortunately, the son of one of mom's friends is carpenter, and he is kind enough to come to our house to check some conditions.


彼が言うには、母の部屋の壁の裏に、蟻が巣を作っているかも知れない、とのこと。そこで、壁を剥がして、中を見てもらう事に。

Then, he said that it could be that the ants have made their nest behind the wall of mom's room. So we asked him to check it. Then he broke out the wall...


すると…

And then...


なんということでしょう！

What a surprise!



どこから漏れたのか判りませんが、雨漏りの水が、外壁と、内壁の間をつたい、壁の裏が、雨漏りで腐りかけていたのです！

We don't know where the water comes from, but between the outside wall and the inside wall, there is a very big rainwater damage!!! The woods of wall almost turned putrid!


蟻は、この腐った木が目当てで、壁の裏に巣を作っているのだそうです…

The ants love to eat these putrid woods, so they've made nest behind the wall...


とりあえず、蟻の駆除だけはしてもらったのですが…

For the moment, we just asked to exterminate the ants...


この腐った壁を取り壊して、新しく造り直さなければなりません！うひゃあ、大変な事になってしまいました…

But anyhow, we have to decide to break and rebuild the wall of mom's room! Wow! The matter becomes a big deal...


でも、壁が腐り落ちて壊れる前に気が付いて良かった！それに、造り直せば、また新しい部屋になるんだもんね。
いつ改装が終わるかは判りませんが、またリポートしますね！

However, I think it's lucky that we could find it before the wall will tumble down! And you know, if we rebuild it, mom will be able to get brand-new room!
Now I've no idea when the rebuilding will be over. But I'm sure I will post the report of rebuilding!
