Hi Rachel - hope they stop the construction so you can get some sleep!

well, take for example when my dad passed away, i never cried once. i'm in the belief that my dad would want me to stay strong. therefore i refuse to cry. although when i found out about it and i was on the phone with my friend's mother, she said something to me. (can't remember exactly but i think she suggested writing a diary to cope with the pain.) i felt kinda stoic and my hands were trembling like crazy. i tried to stop the trembling with my other hand but the hand holding the phone wouldn't stop. i just cracked up and kept wondering "what the hell was that all about?!"

for all i know, i might end up like Chandler. like, remember that episode of "Friends" where he said he doesn't cry but when he finally started crying, he wouldn't stop?

the odd thing for me is, i came in the hospital not knowing why my stomach was in constant pain. i tried taking a number two (local slang for "taking a dump") and that didn't work. i came out of the hospital, still not knowing why i came. think it was cuz of my father's passing away and my refusal to shed any tears. but at least, i came out fine. (i even tried escaping from the hospital but all my attempts have failed. haha!!)
