  This coming Sunday, the Hong Kong Film Awards is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Film Industry. The red carpet is going to be 100 meters long !! I'm so excited about it.  

  
  

  I did a tv interview with tv8 thanking everyone who has helped my sister and I during these few years working in Hong Kong. Cuz there're so many people who has come and gone, who has helped and left and we never had a good chance to thank them sometimes. So thank you very much to everyone who has given us your moral support.

  A friend of mine told me he's going to baking class to learn baking for his other half's birthday. I went along and had a great time !

  Here's cake baking from scratch, step by step -

  Dearest Friends,
  
  The past couple of weeks has been like a cyclone for me...
  Always being chased for time, always trying to catch up
  As I have mentioned months ago, i am currently still working on my first solo album.
  I am very blessed to have the freedom to personally write all my songs.
  As I am a first timer, it took me quite while to get my demos done with the help from my dear friend Charles Teo. After getting each demo done, I had to sum up the courage to send them to my company and tell them that  'this is the songs i wrote. Pls listen to them and hopefully we can use it for my album'' I was so terrified and worried that they might think it's simply lousy noise and not music. I am afraid of getting hurt. Sending them a demo each time made me lose a night's sleep. This went on for about 3 months. Today, though the album's yet complete, I wanna extend my thanks to my company Hk Star for their trust in me.
  
  Everytime I send them a song, I will tell them of my vision for the song, I want them to visualise my song so they can feel what i felt when i was writing it. One day, my boss called me to the company for a meeting. He said, hey, since you have so much imagination for your songs and you have participated in quite a few movie productions, why don't you direct your own music video. Being myself, I simply jumped on the opportunity without hesitation and said "Wow ! Yah !! OK !!" . He then continued... " i thought you should direct a shirt film for your album too !"
  
  I went " huh?short film ???"
  he explained and said it will be a very good experience for me and it gives me more space and medium to express what I want since this is my first self written album....
  I jumped on that too, of course..
  
  My initial idea of my story was a brotherly love. I needed a person who is physically much taller than I am, with a kind face and a person who loves to spread love to people around him... the 1 st person that came to my mind is Vanness. I took my chance and sent him an invitation email to star in my self directed short film and told him the story. Honestly, I didn't have much hope as I know he as been extremely extremely busy with recording, movie promotion, his album and music video production, his new jewellery line, and he gonna start filming his new feature film, been flying all over Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and China every other day........ and he will not be coming to HK anytime soon for any other jobs.
  He replied the very next day !
  He said he's happy to be part of my short film but....will need some time to sort out his schedule....
  Van went to Singapore for his movie production and coincidentally Rozy was there and I told Rozy...hey....hey.......can you pls ask Van if he can really make it for my shirt film?? please please please.....
  
  Van emailed me again, He said " Hey Race, I'll do it, only if I get to stay at the W Hotel."
  
  I said " OK .... yes yes sure...i'll get my company to arrange this"
  inside me....i thought... oh no....i wonder if my company has the budget. But if Van says that, I wouldn't hesitate to pay for the his hotel from my own pocket. and then......i remembered that months ago ,Patrick mentioned about some collaboration between Alivenotdead and the W hotel. I called him up and asked if he could hook me up with some discount.
  
  
  I have to tell the world that I am such a LUCKY gal.... Patrick introduced me to Matthew, the marketing director of the W Hotel. 3 days before the shoot, i went to the W Hotel for a meeting with my camera man, Jam and scriptwriter, Banana to finalize our shooting schedule. It simply did not make any sense that I am able to finish what I wanted since Van is only gonna be in town for a one day shoot. I was on the verge of breaking down............oh my god....Van is gonna be here soon and i haven't got my story ready...... oh man...................i'm so lost...............
  i looked around me......took a deep breath.........i looked around the bar....the modern yet cozy decorations hanging in the air suspended from the ceiling..............at the sun setting outside the window.. the rays cutting through the glass and shadows cast on the carpet and sofas... i let the beauty around me envelope me in the romantic embrace........i feel so good here..... i'm so lost yet i feel good here................ can i capture this feeling on film...? What about a love story that started here in this hotel ....? I told my team my ideas and we came up with a completely new story. I met up with Matthew immediately and asked if we are able to shoot in the hotel.
  
  The next day, which is Thursday afternoon, I walked the whole Causeway bay to look for clothes for Van and myself based on my ideas of what we're gonna shoot. I don't know Van's sizes but merely told the salesman to get me the standard Model's size for all the clothes i picked for Van. I was counting on my luck boy....after that I had to return to the W hotel for a final meeting. I called Phil up and asked for his help. I know it's impossible that I can pull this off on my own, being the actress and director  and get things all done in a day.  I know Phil has so much more expertise and experience and directing and camera works cuz he has taught Rozy and I a little on this area too. PHILIP NG, he is amazing. He canceled his appointments for the day and came to my final but his first meeting about my short film at 7pm at the W hotel. We realized that we have to start filming my part the very next day, which is Friday, before Van shoots his part on Saturday. After our meeting, i rushed over to show my support at a friend's concert, hurried home, packed my stuffs and checked into the W hotel in the middle of the night and woke up at 5am for day 1 shooting. Phil came at 6am and walked me through what he has planned for the day. He even drew out the shot list. Our shoot went smoothly and we had all our stuffs done. Van arrived in the afternoon and was immediately shoved to do an interview with us. . poor van..
  
  The next day, Saturday is the day I have most anticipated and feared. We started hair and make up at 6am. The good thing about my short film is that it is continuation from my music video. So i got Jacky Heung to come and shoot the first break up scene with me. Van woke up at 5am to swim and work out at the gym. We had reporters following us throughout the day, a press conference at 2.30pm, then tv crew to interview us again in the evening. I sincerely appreciate all the media support and press coverage. However, on that day when we were chasing after every second, trying to get our stuffs done.......... there was simple so much interruptions.... and at early evening, I was losing it.... i kept telling Phil, '' Phil thank you for being here. If not for you, today's impossible. Thank you thank you.....oh my god...there's so much press and so much requests, so many people and everyone's exhausted and I'm sure Van's so tired too !!! "
  
  Matthew saw me and said " girl man you look good but you're so stressed out. Is there anything i can do to help you?"
  
  "yes Matthew. There's 35 people here and I can't make them leave cuz they've waited for an hour and a half and they're here to interview us ............ Can i go up to your pool and shoot ?"
  
  Thank you Matthew. You have been the best person one could ever be given the circumstances on a sat night at W hotel. I am so blessed you're the Marketing Director there and not anyone else !!!!!!!!!!
  
  
  Patrick and some of my other fav AnD family came to show their support for Van, Phil and I but were ignored cuz we were so stressed out...... so sorry....
  
  Sincere thanks to my crew, Ming, Marco, Banana, Jam, Ah Lok and many others.... ...... people who gave their time and love and made things possible for me..
  
  Van, thank you for your patience....and next time, I'll be more prepared. haha..... i wholeheartedly thank you for your trust and love. May us Super Friends have more collaborations to come.
  

  
  

  
  After working for 2 full days, I collapsed on Sunday and stayed in bed most of the day while Pil got up in the morning and edited the film. Phil, You're a superman !!!! I saw the rough cut on Sunday night and ...................ooohh................i can't boast about it too much but seriously, all the  stress and hard work....it was all so worth it !!!!!!!!!!!! Van you look great, only just your abs and your body, but your acting. Wow.... thank you for the tears. So touched..... can't imagine anyone else playing your part. .......
