    roflfl i hear ya about the 'got something meaningful to say but just literally saying it i.e not musically' .

    i don't own any of the albums but 'hong kong', 'war' and 'sigh hei' are in my opinion modern day classics. great production, great lyrics and great tunes. i would aliken them to sam hui's songs of hong kong social commentary.

    haha i reckon you're leaving at just the right time for hardpack, 24 herbs and mc yans' albums. the former two said on here that end of july/august should be the release dates. i heard from brian that the 'let's fight' dvd should be dropping this month too, which is awesome.

    beyond have reached an almost untouchable position such is their influence and integrity..but as a pretty appreciative (and honest) fan, some of their stuff/decisions have been pretty questionable. though for the most part, their work is still testimony that many ppl recite them as being examples of credibility in hong kong music.

    heh btw i'm not that much older than you and i've never lived in hk for a permanent period of time. also i only got in beyond in my late teens..

    not that i speak or understand mandarin enough but i think because of the language differences (lesser tones) edison probably flows more fluently in this album than in cantonese. he might have to work on his actual flow/delivery though, it sounds like he has to put a lot of effort to pronounce each word individually.

    but yeah whilst i was in hk a few weeks ago i met and had a chat with mc yan; his solo project should dropping sometime this summer so i'm looking forward to that.

    btw yeah i probably was the one babbling about beyond a lot..
