So i've been on a hiatus for a while. With a busy schedule, internship 40 hours a week and working 30-40 hours a week, i have no time left to do anything. However, i still visit AnD regularly but just reading others' blogs. I enjoyed doing so because it cheered me up some days and also to relax and do something "fun". Starting this week my internship will be done and i'll still be at my current job until i find something that would be a better fit for my future career.
It finally hits me that I'm now a new grad gosh what a bad time to be one. It's scary to search for jobs, I was guaranteed with a job but i guess it's not happening now since the economy is still so bad.
Anyhow, I just wanted to write a bit for now and will update more later!
Humm...it's been a few days already since i've posted an answer on Terence's blog to see who the birthday man is. I hardly ever participate in these kind of games but i finally stepped to make a guess and it's interesting. I wonder what's the answer. I hope he'll post it up soon.
Happy
Election Day to all. Can’t believe in about 3 hours the results are up here in
Michigan. Wonder who the new president is, a few of us at the hospital today
took a few hours off just to beat the rush hour traffic and get to the voting
booths. It’s a very interesting year for me to see how the new president is and
it’s kind of scary too. Why and how it’s scary…well I didn’t used to care about
politics at all but as I’m growing older and working I should be more
politically involved correct?
Anyways
apart from the voting I haven’t been doing much. Just work and go home and sit
in front of the computer. I really need to go out and do something, but all my
friends whom I’ve used to hang out with have all moved away, well most. The
others I guess just drifted away from me. It’s okay I’ll be fine I just need to
work now save up and plan my trip to HK someday! It’s getting closer I can feel it, I really
have to go
So
my birthday is also coming up, most of my co-workers asked what I’d like to do I
said nothing really, probably just out to eat with them?? I want to go partying
or something but I guess it won’t happen.
Oh
yeah apart from not going out, I had cut my hair like very short, probably a
good 10 inches off. I couldn’t believe I cut it this short, it’s the shortest
length I’ve ever had. It’s interesting though ‘cause I’ve always liked short
hair in others but who would’ve thought it’d looked okay on me too? I guess we
human just have to try something new and not stick to the old styles all the time.
That's all i could write about now need to get some rest after a lazy day of doing nothing
Over labor day weekend, I thought
I would not be in the mood to go out because I had plan to just work and
prepare to move into my new apartment three hours away from where I live now. I
visited the apartment again, now I noticed it’s all residence and doctors
living here. WOW people are like mistaken me for doctors, ahha not now maybe
one day I’ll be. My apartment is on the 10th floor, very nice view,
can see canada from where I live.
I had a blast over the three
days weekend, but was too tired on my first day of internship though. I thought
I was all prepared for my apartment with food wise, but no I forgot rice and
just things to cook with. Now I’m craving for Asian food so bad, because I don’t
even have time to go and look for a good asian restaurant to eat. I’ve been
ordering pizzas and eating fast food which is making me sick.
It’s interesting to intern, I am
starting to learn a lot, work with tons of doctors and different patients, I hope
I do not get infected from them but hey it’s my field gotta prepare for it. I
injected my first patient today, a 75 years old lady her veins were moving so I
missed, I was calmed but still I guess I didn’t want to put much pressure on an
old lady so I didn’t angle right I think. Oh wells there’s other trials coming
up, it’s good that patients do not mind students practicing on them .
Along with internship I am
studying for my certification in pharmacy tech also so it’s quite stressful anyways gotta get some rest for my early shift
tomorrow. I’m so glad to be going home and eat my home cook food tommorrow!
Back in Michigan now, very different atmosphere, if
it wasn't for my family i wouldn't want to be back! it's so boring here, cold
at night and morning time then hot during the day. But summer's over here in
Michigan. I miss Florida, i love everything about it, well except during
hurricane season. Last hurricane was named Faye i think, wasn't bad few trees
fell down here and there, nothing special.
I did a lot more this week than last week. Went to a friend's bday, then beach
with a lot of people, the clubbing at night (again) and then a picnic on
sunday, it was wayyy tooo humid, just like Vietnam and HK weather, i heard.
Went canoeing on Monday, a very hot day, i wasn't prepared to swim because i
swam the day before, but still was thrown into the beach by some people. I
could feel my body, especially my shoulders burning, as if i could hear sizzle
:-). In the end, i saw my back in the mirror it was RED and BURNING, wow what a
feeling, i couldn't lay on my sides because of it i could only lay flat on my
back. It's terrible! First time ever i've experienced such a bad burnt. My face
is like TANNED, UGH i don't want my face to be tan only my body though!
Now it's all back to normal, getting ready to move down to my new apartment and begin my internship!
Hi!!~ How are you??
surprisingly, I didn't take much pictures in HK this time around. Most of the ones that I can show, I already posted it on my blogs... hehee.. ;)
Thanks for your comments. Like reading, sometimes baking gives me a tranquil feeling. The cookies were gifts to my girls and to their friends bc they go to their friends' houses so frequently. =D
Do you adjust the sugar the recipes ask for? I almost always do. I always start with less. The pound cake asks for 3 cups (eek!) and I reduced it to 2.5 c and even using a bit of brown sgr instead of white. Seemed quite sweet still.
I like pumpkin. I prolly would've enjoyed your not-so-sweet pumpkin pie. haha. Did you make a crust from scratch?
hahaa... yea I love animations and cartoon. They have such awesome stories that goes with all the characters... I especially love to watch the making of process... It's interesting... there was a time when I wanted to be an animation director or something like that... but after learning all the work that goes into; all the fine details. I decided no thanks. hahaa!! it's crazy work.. I think it takes real time, dedication, and passion for awesome work in animation.. =D
