This month has been a really significant month for me. It is a month which i see the true side of people. Before this I thought that bad people only exist in tv, until I finally met one now! I used to have a friend i got to know from university. We rented a house together outside campus since last year and had a blast living together. It was until this semester where things go ugly between us.
I used to share equal petrol money with her and even paid for her car gear box, tire repair, and even road tax. Apparently until this month she suddenly disagree with our car sharing agreement and so she stopped picking me to and from university. That was a huge bomb to me. What about the promise that we will share transportation after moving out from hostel together? And then I guess she was ashamed to live with me anymore that she decided to move out of the house, bringing along 4 other yes dogs with her. I'm more than fine with that!
She decided to take all furniture away with her that previously we equally paid for. She said she will pay me back what I deserved, after minus depreciation cost. But guess what, she dropped another bomb to me, saying that another house mate which had been sponsoring printer ink wanted to claim in total of RM845 from me! So, after contra-ing the money, she doesn't have to pay me back anything!
I was really devastated by these type of people that when good time, everything yes, you can! but when bad time, take back their word and said oh sorry, you have to pay back me! I was exploited! It was really unlucky of me to have met such person!
And then last Friday, she moved out all the furnitures away, leaving all dirty cloths behind. I assumed she doesn't want to keep that, so I washed them all clean. The next day when they were all dry, she came back to the house and took along those cloths with her! What type of person is she? Self-centered, exploiter, faker, money-eater and the next Taib Mahmud!
Anyway, I am happy that i finally see the true side of her. Even though i loss my money but i gained a valuable lesson. And as for now, I am writing to you in my very empty house, Friday, named after Good Friday. Cheers people!
And thus, after a long hesitation, finally i registered myself to mandarin class this semester. Funny and embarrassing how a born chinese, not to forget the fact she is a 21-year-old student start taking mandarin level 1, along with other students from different races. My conclusion after attending few classes is that Mandarin is one heck of a language subject! It tests your vocal ability (proper pin yin, anyone?) and also your artistic side (all the beautiful and balanced character writing!) I so hate writing in chinese because I seriously suck at drawing 'artful' strokes and I can't even draw a straight line with my own hand. I WAS NEVER GOOD AT HOLDING A PENCIL!!!
Well, well, well, I am still
alivenotdead! Here we go again.
It is the end of the year and I must
say that 2010 has been a really GREAT year for me! Of course thank you for your
blessing and I love You as much as ever.
20th birthday was full of beautiful surprises and I thank each and all of my loved ones for the wonderful memory.
In the midst of studying and all,
it was a great opportunity for me to dwell in many other activities, all thanks
to Kho San who actively include me in all his events HAHA. Yeah, I sound so
lazy and honestly I know that I am a lazy person Anyway, Kho San and I opened
a stall selling ice-cream during our university graduation week, with the help
of buddies Wei Hua, Zoe and Pelly. It was seriously tiring but purely satisfactory.
Imagine selling from early morning to late night for 5 day! Kho San is a true
genius in selling! There were times where I almost felt like giving up but Kho
San’s wisdom words lifted me up. He has always been the angel to me! We earned
some pocket money (RM500++) out of it, not bad for an ice-cream selling
business I guess!
AND THEN, Kho San registered Kwong
Lung, Netta and I into Digi Youth's Free Your Idea competition, whereby each team
had to come out with an idea of what we would like to do with RM10,000. The
ideas were posted in Facebook and votes from public determined the winner, and
of course the prize itself was the RM10,000 for us to realize the idea! So
basically our idea was to donate the RM10,000 to Sarawak Children’s Cancer
Society. Of course, the tough part of it was to get people (as many as
possible) to vote for us! During that week, we tried almost every means to
secure votes. We spread the news around, asked close friends to vote for us
(terima kasih banyak banyak buddies!), went from place to place, and even spent
our days in library to ask students to vote for us. I guess those kaki library
already know us well by now. It was all about determination and keeping our
hopes high. Imagine our joy when we slowly climbed to 5th place out
of 800 groups competing! Although we did not manage to win the RM10,000 for the
sick children, I believe that it was a good cause for spreading awareness. Along
the week, I saw many kinds of people. There were many helpful souls out there,
although we were just strangers (the power of charity), and of course also the
ignorant fools whom I just can’t understand. All in all, it was a worthy cause
and I earned a big experience into my pocket! The thirst for knowledge and experience will drive me further!
Kho San and I had a little weekend retreat at Sematan, with his Boys Brigade kakis. A great escape. Let the pictures do the talking.
And so, I sat for my final exam,
let’s not dwell too much on that. I shall just summarize the process into one
word, BAD. I got my results recently, managed to score 3.70. My gpa has dropped
drastically (it was 3.93 last semester) but thankfully cgpa is still 3.8
something. I ought to pull up my cgpa this coming semester! That will be my new year
resolution! Haha.
Holidays were blissful. I got
addicted to playing Need For Speed on PS2 with bro! Yeah I know I am crazy! And
all the shopping was so awesome. So hooked up into buying new gears for coming Chinese
New Year. Last but not least, Kho San came
to Klang for a week! In fact he just left back to Kuching today My family, him and I went
back to hometown Bidor, Perak for few days. In case you don’t know, he was very
welcomed into our big family in Bidor. Eherm. It was really great spending some
quiet days back there, with awesome meals cooked by aunt, riding bicycle and
motorbike with him, gosh he can even ride a bike! Is there anything else that
he can’t do? Okay I sound like I’m worshipping him blek!
By the way, can you believe that I
am actually an agent for Manulife Insurance Berhad now? Nah, I am an agent
by name only! I passed two papers recently, PCE and CEILI, basic requirements
for the industry, for it was all because of my super mentor who encouraged me
into taking these papers for extra knowledge and experience. I thank him for
that. We went for training at Manulife headquarter in Damansara two days ago. What
an impressive organization!
Ask kho san what was his
favourite food in Klang, and I guess he will answer you Bah “Good” Teh! Chee cheong
fan wasn’t bad either. Kan?
And then for the first year, we
celebrated Christmas together. A truly meaningful one. We went to Klang Chinese
Methodist Church for a small mass, watched some church performances, and
listened to thought-provoking speech by the people there. As you know, me
myself is a Buddhist, so I am not well-informed about Christianity. I was naïve
before this. It was never about the Santa Claus and presents, it was just a day
for us to remember that god loves us. I personally think that although we all
may come from different religion, but god has always been the same one to all
of us. Christmas, as celebrated as Wesak, Thaipusam and Haji, it was just a day
for us to remember that god has always looked after us and loving us. Love is
all around, and there is no better way than to celebrate it with you loved ones.
There was once a selfish owner who had a dog. The dog was so good to the owner that sometimes the owner just felt that she didn't deserve the dog. The owner was playful and stubborn. However the dog was different. The dog thought everything for the owner and cared for her like no one else. The dog would go out during the day to look for food and bring them to the owner at night. One night, the owner went out to play until she forgotten everything else. The dog came home with food, waited for his owner to be back, but to his disappointment, she hadn't come back. The owner finally came home late at night, only to find that the dog was asleep at another place, much to her dismay.
The owner now knows that she is at fault. Please do not give up on the owner. She loves the dog more than ever!
Before this, I was way too simple-minded. i was way too care-free. i was way too self-indulgent until last night. it was a wake up call for me. I'm especially sorry to kho san for his huge lost. if only a sorry could unwind all the mistakes done.
