  • Video Colorist needed!

    Wednesday, Aug 5, 2009 2:37PM / Standard Entry

For feature length indie documentary (72 min.) shot on HD. Think: Michael Moore meets Planet B-Boy but about Christianity in Asia. The film exists as a FCP 6 project. Must have own equipment/software (i.e. Color). Start date begins next week or the following week once we picture lock. We are aiming to have this completed by the end of the month. Please send examples of work as well as your rate to grace@peachies.net. We have a small budget to work with, but are fair. We are also open to working with students!

Please pass this along to anyone you know who may be interested and available! Thanks!

  • Ok, is this kind of creepy?

    Wednesday, Aug 5, 2009 6:42AM / Standard Entry

Yesterday, my lunch purchase rang up to $6.66. Guy says, “ooh, lucky #.” I’m like, “uh… haha.” Later on, in the same day, I buy some guac and chips… it rings up to $6.66! I kinda freak out. The lady behind the counter is wearing a necklace with Jesus on it. She says that it’s just a # and that nothing bad will happen. Of course I know nothing bad will happen although I start wondering if it’s a sign. THEN today, JUST NOW, I glanced at the # of tweets I have… 666. What the heck? 666 be gone!!!

(I originally tweeted this, but then of course Twitter cut me off… then while tweeting, something weird happened with my computer and then my Internet started freezing up, so I had to start over. Uh… not to spook you guys, but thought I’d share.)

On an interesting and maybe related side note, this happened to happen on the day that we were having a rough cut screening of a film that has to do with End Times… whoa. And today I happened to read a prophetic message from my pastor about a girl named “GRACE” who is scared to go to the next level or unsure of herself and her call from God (something I can relate to)… before seeing 666 again. I don’t know what it all means yet… but it’s definitely GOD OR ODD…

  • BoA… I mean BaO’s “Eat You Up”

    Saturday, Aug 1, 2009 9:13AM / Standard Entry

So a few months ago, I met up with Patty at Runyon Canyon to hike and talk about miscellaneous creative stuff. It was then that I first heard about this parody idea of hers… a parody of BoA’s “Eat You Up” music video…

You might have to be Chinese to know that “bao” = bun. And well, the whole parody is about eating up BUNS… pork buns… lots of them… really fast. You’ll even see a buddy of mine in the vid partaking in the BaO action.

Patty, goooood stuff! Over 12,000 hits in just 5 days!

BoA fans are crazy. I know.

More info about the parody here: http://cutebutdeadly.net/bao/

  • Music needed for indie documentary

    Friday, Jul 31, 2009 7:00AM / Standard Entry

    Hello Musicians & Composers,

I’m looking for music! For an indie documentary about Christianity in Asia. I’d say stylistically it’s kinda like Michael Moore meets Planet B-Boy.

We’re looking for all types of music, so no, the music does not need to be of the Christian genre. Open to hip hop, rock, electronic, instrumentals, etc. We are looking for both produced tracks as well as samples of composed music.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a budget for this, so this is definitely for people who’d like to collaborate with some good peeps, contribute their music to a passion project that has the intention of reaching the masses, and of course a film credit for your resume.

Please submit any links to music or inquiries about the project to: grace@peachies.net

We are on a pretty tight post-production schedule, so please do get in touch with me ASAP if you’re interested. Thanks!
