    Have always wondered:
    Where do my visitors come from? There's usually only a handful when I check My Visitors. Apparently, non-members accessing my profile page which is a shame because they can't read a darn thing because all my entries are for Members only. They can admire my headshot and read my g
    uestbook, but that's about it.

    An addendum and update:

    I don't really have anything to add to this scandal, except for my opinion.

    It sure livened up things in time for Chinese New Year though.

    I had read some comments in other forums and I'm amazed at how people would prefer to live in denial (fantasyland!) than face the fact that their favorite stars are real people who engage in real activities, such as premarital sex, and have a penchant for documenting themselves doing just that. Egads! That is, these naive individuals would rather believe the images are fake even when they haven't seen them.

    Well, whether they're doctored or not, and I'm of the opinion that they're the real-deal so far, the ladies have been tarnished in reputation in more ways than one. More so than the male involved. This a tad unfair.

    Still, I think our memories' have such short spans that since the ladies hadn't intentionally harmed anyone else, their careers will get back right (if they ever do go off-track; GC's camp says nothing's happened to existing or new endorsement contracts) on track sooner rather than later. And they were simply the unfortunate victims of a vicious prank. I'm being optimistic, for once.

    Anita Luong privately shared some nasty, naughty pics of a couple of HK celebs. I think it's some news-breaking stuff over in Asia.

    Damaging stuff. Or maybe not damaging. I don't know how this stuff works in the celeb world. Everything's kinda skewed there, isn't it?

    Anyway, this was on my mind and I needed to blab.

    Some members here made resolutions about weight loss this year or need to get rid of the excess weight they packed on during the holiday season? Read this.


    Some Causes of Excess Weight

    Calories Overload – Eating convenience or processed foods are often high in calories.

    Lack of Physical Activity – Exercise helps use up extra calories.

    Genetics – Body-type and gender can contribute to carrying extra weight.

    Stress – Stress can slow down your metabolism and may contribute to weight gain.

    Age and health status – As people age and as their health declines, it can be more challenging for them to lose weight.


    Studies show that weight is most effectively controlled when people make positive dietary changes, engage in regular physical activity, and make permanent behavīoral changes.

    Healthy Eating

    -         In general, increase: fluid intake, fruits and vegetables, grains, fish, legumes (beans), poultry, lean meats and fiber.

    -         In general, minimize: fats, red meats, caffeine, alcohol, sodium and cholesterol

    -         Limit eating out and fast foods.

    -         Include vitamins or supplements that may improve nutrition intake

     
    Physical Activity

    -         Regular, moderate-to-vigorous physical activity could help to manage weight.

    -         Losing as few as ten pounds could help control health conditions.

    -         If you are not exercising at all, start with a few minutes a day and gradually increase to about 30 minutes or more a day, most days of the week.

    -         Make a commitment to yourself.

    -         Get emotional support from family and friends.

    -         Set goals that are realistic.

    -         Rather than dieting, make it a habit to eat healthier all the time.

    -         Engage in physical activity regularly.

    -         Celebrate your progress.


    Weight Management Tips

    Eat slowly, it takes at least 15 minutes for the brain to recognize the body is full.

    Set weight loss goals that are reasonable and attainable.

    Drink a glass of water before meals to help avoid over-eating.

    Avoid grocery shopping when you feel hungry.

    Trip keeping a food journal to track eating and physical activity.

    Keep in contact with those who are supporting you in your weight loss efforts.
