Nobody reads my blog anymore but I will keep on posting. Occasionally.

San Francisco City Hall

49er Fever is contagious. The NFC championship game will be played out tomorrow. Hope we'll - they'll - succeed to have follow 2 more weeks of Niner Pride and Bay Area sports talk radio stations droning ad nauseam about the team, stats, plays, coaches, players, former players, former owners, accolades, and sometimes bizarre listener calls. Okay, the only reason I was even tuning into KNBR AM680 this last week was to try to win a pair of tix to tomorrow's game. No success there which leaves me to enjoy the game at home before heading to a restaurant for dinner to celebrate CNYE with the in-laws. This particular restaurant has 2 TVs in the dining room and though I've not seen them powered on in a long time, I hope they'll make an exception tomorrow evening. If not, I'm shit outta luck for part of the 3rd and 4th quarters. Not the end of the world....

Daniel Wu'd probably couldn't help getting caught up in the excitement too. One doesn't need to be a big football fan to be glad about one of the few national sports teams in the Hey Area doing well.

Oddly enough, I pretty much pointed out how it's been pretty dead @ AnD on my blog recently. Sad that this is the case these days. And just when I had juicy details from the set of upcoming movies like "Total Recall" and Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim" (which I have typed up and saved for a future "time-capsuled" blog entry).

By the way, Rinko Kikuchi laughs like a donkey. She's so adorable!

Not meant for the left coast again. Sucks. Dislike that the right coast always, always get into the SB.

Saying that, NYG is a better team. Niners have had trouble all year converting 3rd downs, the passing game practically doesn't exist bc there are no receivers, O-line has had issues protecting the pocket, problems with the running game, and Alex Smith lacks accuracy. On the plus side, the special teams and defense is tops, Akers is a god, and Alex is mobile. Even with all the drawbacks, it's kind of amazing they got that far. Now if only the O could get it together like the D, there'd be no stopping them. Harbaugh's a genius and with him there's no looking back cos he's set the franchise on fire. It was a great season!

The NFC game is a tough one for me, because whoever wins is the team I root against, being a NE native and fan. But if the 49ers win, I will be very happy.
