I'm not big into sweets....or am I?.... so it was only earlier this year that I started buying Golden Oreo cookies.

I've always liked the taste of vanilla cookies. There was a brand of creme-filled vanilla cookies that I've eaten a couple of times in my whole life, that were pretty good. Can't recall the brand. And Nilla Wafers are a welcome treat on occasion. They're small, easily grasp-able by little hands and go very well with milk.

Dark Oreos have always been the fave. Always. It's got a distinctive taste and it ain't even remotely chocolate-tasting. The only complaints I have with the original dark cookie sandwich is that the creme filling stuff is too sweet and the dark biscuits are very unattractive around the teeth. I used to separate and dip in milk but I no longer do that.

Have you ever eaten Hydrox? The Oreo double and predecessor? That filling was even nastier, imo. That product name doesn't conjure tasty foodstuff, does it? Sounds chemical-y and fit for a liquid, household cleaner. haha. Those cookies were discontinued in the 90's.

I'll stock my pantry with the golden stuff for awhile. Maybe switch between dark and white. They make good lunchbox stuffers.

Do you want an Oreo now? ;)

don't recall ever trying the golden oreos. i'm trying to stay away from the sweeties these days. i do recall the hydrox cookies, no surprise oreo has outlasted them.

Nope, still don't want an oreo. (I read this earlier but couldn't comment.) I got gagged by the blondies. I thought they were lemon. *drool* I LOVE lemon sandwich cookes. A local company here makes sandwich cookies. They're my favorite!

The Golden Oreo is news to me, saying that I think it has only been over the last few years that the original Oreo has become readily available in England, I was never keen on the biscuit it all tasted bitter to me but hearing the comments hear it sounds like it's too sweet for most, it's no wonder my mouth is full of lead when I eat overly sweet treats. Hydrox sounds like it was abysmal. Now the Golden Oreo is something that does sound tastier.

oh... i didn't even know there were Golden Oreos.. haha.. may give it a try some day. hehee... =D

gotta agree though. the dark oreos have a distinct taste to it and I love it. but I don't eat it too often. hmm... now I crave... LOL!!

I was never an Oreo fan, always found the filling too sweet. I have never eaten Hydrox before. But the only time I like Oreo is when the filling isnt't there, sometimes people use the cookie part to make cheesecake crust and it tastes wicked :)

I was never an Oreo fan. Too sweet. Of course my son liked them as a kid. But at that time my MIL was constantly baking cakes and pies and strawberry rolls and banana bread and on and on. My son grew up eating the best baked goods (and so are yours from what I have seen). My favorite? Shortbread cookies. I prefer the butter taste to the sugar taste.
