What a dreadful dream.
The first part wasn't so bad. I dreamed I was at a make-up store, like a Sephora. Was looking for my favorite scent but they were out of stock. Bought some dark silver eyeshadow. Put it on and it looked pretty chic.
That was the fun part.
I packed my purchases and went to meet my companions at the Madonna concert that was just about to begin. The lights were turned down and I stepped into a dark auditorium. Thought I wouldn't be able to find my companions or my seat because I didn't hang on to my ticket. Luckily, I spotted Mr. P and I went to him.
We walked away from the crowded area, around the bend and started descending down a carpeted aisle and in a lighted area. I was wondering what was going on - there is no view from this area! This doesn't look like an auditorium! We took our seats, supremely disappointed this was our seating arrangement. There was no direct view to the "stage." We would only be able to hear the concert's goings-on from this vantage point. WTF!
I was extremely upset, not to mention, confused. I wondered how I could have made the mistake of purchasing tickets with no view, and at full price. I pictured the auditorium's floorplan in my mind and distinctly recalled our section having a clear, direct view of the stage, in an oval-shaped auditorium. What happened?
As we were leaving because 1) the theater was eerily quiet and didn't appear any concert was going to take place any time soon, 2) there wouldn't be anything to watch so why stay?; I realized we hadn't come to the correct venue.
Somehow we were at a Landmark theatre when we should've been at the Oakland Coliseum. We were supposed to have taken BART there. Man, what a mistake!
I woke up feeling momentarily anxious. Can't possibly miss the "concert of the year" and my only concert of the year. One so looks forward to such little pleasures.
2.5 more weeks to concert night.
