This Saturday, I met up with Cass, Jane and Mark for a little lunch in S.F.
One wouldn't know it from Mark's introspective blogs and online demeanor (to me ;D) but he's a total cut-up in person. He could be so witty and make you laugh non-stop if he wanted. No, it's true. I had to implore him to tone down his charm because I needed to breathe and eat without spitting my food.
It was a pleasure chatting with the smartest and friendliest member of AnD's personnel in...person.

So hungry after that long ride on BART. Started with a cup of delicious crab bisque soup.

The two biggest Jet Li fans in the world enjoying their crab bisque soups.

Grilled chicken was good. Moist.
Mark thinks that thing next to the lemon slice was something they scraped off the walls in the kitchen. It really could have been....

Mr. Moran here with our check. Men are so sexy when they take care of the lunch bill or if they have an expense account.

Then we began on our way to the theater. Wait! What are they looking at?

Why, they're admiring the top of the dome.
I've known this dome since I was a little, little child. It was part of the old Emporium department store and I used to enjoy walking under it bc it was so bright and high(!). I'm glad they saved it and incorporated it into the architecture of the new shopping mall that took over the old spot.
As a matter of fact, we were standing near the spot where I had my ears pierced as a child at The Emporium.

The look-out from the old floors of the Emporium store.
Of course, I often hung out with my mom in the store's basement where all the bargains would be found. Sometimes we'd venture up to the 4th floor where the girl's clothing and shoes had been located.

Cass, Mark and I went to the cinema to see "You Don't Mess with the Zohan." I believe I heard Cass and Mark laughing way more than me.
Oh, and theater employees can't take pics worth beans. Instead, I suggest seeking a theater patron to help you shoot photos if you want them to, you know,... be in focus.

Comfortable, but dirty, seats on the BART train. Did I mention they're dirty and grime-y?
There was a big fuss about the high flammability and toxicity of these seats a long, long time ago. At least it was a story on the local news with a video showing how quickly they go up in flames. How come they still haven't been replaced then??

My booty for putting up with Mark at lunch.
There are those famous (and much sought after!) AnD stickers, a rubber AnD bracelet, an AnD lapel pin on the AnD business card, and the AnD one-year anniversary DVD. Thanks, Mark! I know you'll get us the new caps soon, right?
I returned home to a lone Mr. P. It worked out nicely that the little girl was at a birthday party where she was going to be fed dinner. I hadn't expected that. With no little ones around, Mr. P and I went on a "date," just the two of us.
We've got a stack of 2-for-1 entree coupons for Pomodoro restaurant. We've been using them from time to time. And what's great is the coupons never expire!
It was a good, friendly Saturday.
