Friendly Rennie

Met up with Miss Rennie, who was up north for some party thingy, for lunch over the weekend. So sweet of her to spend some time with little me.

Lunch was good (thanks hon!). A little fact - we are meat-eaters and proud of it.

Had to walk off the lunch afterwards.

While strolling Union Square, we passed by the Apple store. What's going on over there anyway? So many people in several lines waiting to go in there. What was up with that??** There was a long line of people waiting to see the accessories, a long line for laptops, a long line for Ipods and I don't know what else I was standing in the middle of.

The big, bad security detail stood by the front door, which was only opened a crack, to bark out where you're supposed to line up if you asked. Such long lines to look at Ipods or laptops? Gimme a break!

Rennie then directed me to a van handing out free mocha whip drinks. Alas, they were only sample sizes. By Starfucks or something like that?

Standing on the street or the street corner to chat is kinda fun. We can be outside to enjoy the open air, we can face each other to converse better, and we're not sittin' on our asses. We didn't even notice the swirl of people walking around us. Wonderful!

Rennie's trying to distract herself and frothing at the mouth next to those decadent pastries. She demonstrated tremendous will power, my friends. I'm so proud of her!

I arrived home to see that the 3-layer mousse cake has started to melt. That didn't  stop someone (okay... me) from scraping the bottom of box to get every last molecule of mousse-y goodness.


**Yeah, yeah - "it's the new Iphone, stupid." I know (about that thing).
