    When you talk on the phone, do you hold the phone to your left ear or your right ear?



    I'm a left-ear person myself.

    I also find that my left shoulder holds the phone to my left ear better than my right shoulder at performing the task for the right ear.

    Do you remember hammer, anvil and stirrup? Those terms for the inner ear I learned in h.s. biology will never, ever leave me.

    Definately a lefty too. I was thinking about this too.. I put the phone to my right ear for a second and i was like WOAH! I'm struggling.

    Left side, because it frees up my right hand and also I realize that my hearing is slightly better in my left ear.

    someone told me that left side is more "business" and right side is more personal.... i am a leftie... right side .. cant concentrate!

    left. long time ago one ex-GF blew a little party horn/whistle to my right ear! since then, i am a bit deaf on it! :(         (women....)

    Likewise with Jaine, I use the left so my right-hand is free to work, although if it's a 3 hour talk with a friend I switch from time to time.

    I look back and think how did I ever take in so much stuff in high-school, i don't think I'd cope with the studies now.

    left, I think it is so I can do stuff with my right hand.
    though after awhile I will change if I am having a large natter.  hehe, its funny what stays with you from HS.

    left ear.. currently was reading this blog while trying to contact the sfiaaff, or however their acronym is spelled, and figured out that i was using the phone on my left ear..

    I'm ambidextrous with most things.  The telephone being one of them..

    I go both ways.
    I'm also training my left hand to use the chopsticks.  I can do it but not as well with my right.

    I use both depending on what I'm doing and the phone I'm using.  At work it's alway the left since my phone sits on the left side of my desk.

    hmm... I think I use both... it depends on what I'm doing... at home, I answer with my left ear so I can still use the computer while on the phone or to write something...

    but when I'm out... I usually use the right side... interesting... hahaa...

    I hold the phone to my left ear when I'm on the computer, leaving my right hand free to use the mouse.   And thinking about it, I hold it to the left ear almost always so I can be writing down info, messing around in the kitchen, etc. with my right.
