  • The World in a Grain of Sand

I have been doing a lot of experimenting recently.

One of them is oil painting.

Starting oil painting at my old age can be difficult, learning the strokes, the composition, colours, subject matter, more importantly, developing the artistic eye.

I've beening exploring all the galleries around chelsea, DUMBO in search of inspiration and direction. Instead of being stimulated with the different artists, I was swamped with thousands of styles, I can't seem to find what I am looking for. So I decided to paint what makes sense to me. That's how I started the BunnyMan series.

Each of the Bunnies in the series represents an emotion, a personality, a sense of difference on similarity. If you take a look at the human race as a whole we look like the products of cookie cutters. However, if we dissect each individual under a microscope we can then appreciate the uniqueness and differences in the monotonous and parallel world.

To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
    And eternity in an hour.
