    I love the original Star Wars movies and the Christopher Reeve remakes of Superman from the 70's .... showing my age i guess - haha .... but most of you know and love these movie classics too i'm sure ....

    Legendary movie composer and one of the greatest living musicians John Williams composed both these wonderfully memorable film scores for Star Wars & Superman  ..... we all know them, right?

    Ok then ..... I challenge you ..... hum them out loud now,  just to remind yourselves .... anything strange? ..... haha ...... they sound awefully the same don't they?

    This is great party trick to cause some mischief amongst tipsy friends ....

    But, here is evidence that Mr Williams didn't use the Stars Wars theme twice ..... and yes, they are both brilliant and different scores!

    Didn't get to see these films until the '80s .. on TV ^^
    But the music scores on both film series are AWESOME, my fave being Star Wars .. had a school-girl crush on Han Solo ^_~

    I'm a Superman fan! After listening to that theme song - I must admit, it did empower me haha

    I'll never get that Superman theme song out of my head, after going on the Superman rollercoaster ride up at the Gold Coast! Too much, but it was awesome.

    hahaha Patrick!  A friend and I kept trying to hum the Superman theme like 2 weeks ago, but everytime we tried, we kept humming the Star Wars theme. Glad it wasn't a drinking game. =D

    These are both great themes but the Imperial March from Star Wars trumps them IMO.  Kudos to John Williams!

    totally different but im a christopher reeves-superman fan. =) its the style,movement,crescendo and feel it gives, that makes it similar for me.but get me drunk and ild probably have to think real hard to hum it...listening to the scores/vid u can easily distinguish though.

    I can recall Star Wars without any help. Had to listen to your Superman to refresh my memory. I think the film came out before I became interested in films. They do have parts that sound similar.... My untrained ear.

    While I was at USC still pursuing music performance, we got to have Williams direct one of our songs in the Ensemble... was very cool!!
