  • MCL Grand Opening/ SHAW STUDIOS

    Friday, Sep 12, 2008 4:55AM / Standard Entry

    And Folks,

It's been awhile since I last posted. Here's my update -- After finish Directing the animations for MCL and Intercontinental we had to hop over to Shaw Studios to do some color lab testing and some minor editing. It always amazes me everytime I go there. The place is just gigantic - I look like a little Star Wars figure in a play set.

Once our color testing was done few days later we were off to the new MCL Theatre where they were playing our animations in the theatre. It was nice to see for the second time -- one of our animation pieces being shown in the cinema - looks different on the big screen but was definitely exciting.

Tons of people showed up and watched "Cyborg She" which I thought was a very entertaining film. Ofcourse, not my cup of tea - but all in all, it was fairly interesting story. Lots of twists going on though... @_@

Met up with some friends that I haven't seen in awhile.

Today went to the SillyThing party -- nice to see some good friends there like Race and Rose and Phil. Unfortunately no pictures as I forgot my camera. Dope!

Lately been working on a comic book project, finished some Transformers art (which I will show later on), some feature film projects and ofcourse working on finalizing our screen play. My team is also working on building 2 websites which are hellish to Produce.  - but I'm sure will be very rewarding when they complete it.

Looking forward to taking a vacation end of this month.

    Peace.

    PL

  • 3D Animation testing/Comic Books

    Monday, Aug 18, 2008 3:44PM / Standard Entry

    Sup Folks,

Past 4 days have been quite busy specially working on this new comic book project. A few months ago I directed and co-produced 3 animation shorts. 2 logos and and a policy trailer for MCL theatre. We tested them out this week on the big screen and it's always great to see my work shown on the big screen. Here are a few pictures from the animations -- you'll see them in all MCL theatres when you watch a movie here on in. Peace --

Me, Intercontinental and MCL Team. Some Shaw folks too. PeAc.e!

    I love this theatre.

    Producing partner Lloyd Chao.

    MCL 3D Logo Animation.

    Intercontinental 3D Logo Animation.

    Policy Trailer 3D Animation.

On the weekend I just stayed in and got busy on the art table. Lots of things up and coming. Wish I could say more.

Currently listening to TIESTO and One Republic.

    Hmmm....

Ok, I know what to draw.

    scribble scribble...

    Back to work. PEace All.

  • MILK Magazine - Juno - Soft Hard MV/Toy Stores

    Wednesday, Aug 13, 2008 4:59PM / Standard Entry

    AnD Folks,

If you haven't been down to Mong-Kok in Hong Kong where all the crazy toy stores are - you need to check it out! Look at all these crazy toys we have here in this gigantic glass window on a 2nd floor bulding. It was nuts. You will see a really cool old school Godzilla on the bottom right 1st  picture. I think that's the best Godzilla I've ever seen - classic.

    Pretty crazy huh?

Here's a better shot of them.

Coming in 2009 2nd quarter is a fully detailed GI.Joe Snake Eyes. You will love this toy if you are into GI Joe. You just can't find this kinda stuff in Canada or the US.

Here is a limited edition Solid Snake toy. I think it cost something like 2,500HK. Really nice toy. The suit is rubber so when you move the arm, the rubber moves with the arm in a wierd kinda way. Totally A + toy.

Classic but stunning toy piece. Gotta get one of these.

So after checking out some cool toys - we decided to stop around and bumped into some gun stores. Check out this Gatling Gun - probably cost a fortune but I was hoping to find a Star Wars gun!

I like the one below - Semi automatic machine gun with rapid fire.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's an article about the Juno/Soft Hard Music Video, one of the projects that we have been working on before my vacate -- I'll throw up the other 3D shorts I directed and co-produced up here once we get the thumbs up until then  ---Peace.
