i think it was on sunday when i happened to watch the reaping and the the da vinci code on HBO on now TV. both talk about religion, talk about God, both contain loads of arguments. the reaping talks about how God abandons us, leaving ppl with disasters even though they prayed hard. frankly i don't believe religion is about give and take, so i dont think ppl should be thinking like this. even though i dont go to church, i dont think He abandoned me. i pass my HKCEE and HKALE, had been crossing roads when the lights are not right, did make some big mistakes but still alive and well and hv a decent job and life and a home to live in. enjoyed the love of a few girls in the past. i think this is quite enough to proof to me that He has not abandoned me. i dont know what others think about this, but its simple, He watched over me. and it doesnt take 10 years of sunday church service to make me understand this. just open your mind and accept it, dont close your mind with pointless arguments that doesnt make you feel better. your feel life is better when you accept there is a God watching over you, you panic less. and why not accept this fact? its a burden to think that you alone can solve everything, because its just simply empirically impossible to do so. in da vinci code, ppl argue about the authenticity of the bible stories, personally i dont think this is necessary, stories are one thing and faith is another. you get faith not because of some stories, its because of some experience you have in your life. so why bother worrying that the bible stories are not true... they are just some stuff to reinforce your belief. so i think that your belief in God is weak if you believe in him just because of bible stories, you should find some experiences in life to relate yourself to God. but never because of some stories, they are just to far away from life. you'll just end be being influenced by other easily, so the churches are so nervous when the da vinci code film came out, they are afraid that the film will shake the beliefs of Christians, but i dont think it will happen. stories and life experiences are two complete different things.
