    Wassup my lurvely people!

I've been through the wringer recently, so haven't got around to uploading anything for a while. I found a couple of pics that I hadn't put up.

I've been off in Thailand for a while on holiday... the sum total of which added up to my wife tripping and losing a big toenail, busting my knee all kinds of badly and screwing my back so badly that I was stuck on the floor for 4 1/2 hours until a doc could come and inject sweet sweet relief.... into my butt. So yeah... life is kinda a wee-bit sucky... but only a wee bit. My job is still funky fun.

The other day I was interviewing an awesome fella Henri, the creative GENIUS behind the fantastic Zorab jewelry line. There was an event the same night, so I just had to call my Mrs and get her down to try on some serious BLING... because she does make tip-top jewelry look even better.

    Here is Linda with Henri

and her looking smashing in some more awesomeness

Then up the next day was a monster Sony Ericsson event which was launching a whole new line of cool phones which I got to play with.

.... and yes..... there were some lovely ladies who were kind enough to be the butt of some jokes.

The phones were pretty cool to get ahold of... one of the cooler bits being the games you play by putting the phone down and waving your arms around like a big plank. As we all know, I'm already a complete numpty... so it worked quite well for me.

Of course I was there working with our big camera crew

but it was also an AXN event so some familiar faces were bouncing around

    OOh, we match.

There was also a new face - Japan's superstar magician Cyril who I had the pleasure of meeting the next day for an interview/mind blowing session.

This boy is cool fun, I had a great time chatting to him... and then he worked me over with a simple trick that I just couldn't figure out... He's gonna have his own series of specials coming up on AXN later on... so keep an eye out!

If any of you are David Mamet fans (I am), you may recognise him from REDBELT - a cool movie last year... But then again, I'm an encyclopedic movie nerd.

okay peeps... i be seein' you later. When I can stand without groaning

    Hey guys,

Just got back from Brunei on a bit of extra shooting for Sony Style Season 3, it was pretty cool actually.... cool part was that one of my producers took it upon himself  to become the unofficial documentary photographer for the shoot... so be ready people... because I have too many pics to choose from, and I'm going to bombard you with them!

We were staying in the RIDICULOUSLY 6-star Empire Hotel, which was certainly not too shabby to say the least...

It's marble everything... gold everywhere... 1/4 million dollar vases and such.

I had a swanky room, with quite possibly the most comfortable bed I have every slept in... I was swimming in duvets and pillows - bliss.

The piece-de-resistance though by FAR was the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE... Check THIS out:-

That's right people... that's GOLD... in the CARPET..... IN THE CARPET!!!

    it's yours for a cool $35,000 a night.... CHA-CHING

As you can see - I made myself RIGHT at home

It's also got a kick-ass golf course that I had a chance to grab a little time on, not as much time as I would have liked... but who knows - one day I might try and go back

in fact I may have to take the film crew with me every time a play golf as it seemed to improve my game no end... So that really is me making par and sinking a 12 footer. nice.

Brunei is a pretty cool place... we spent the day heading up to Ulu ulu Temburong national park..

it's a mission to get there, you start off taking a speed boat from the water village

and then jump onto a bus which takes you to the river

although it only takes about an hour to get up river... we spent just over 4 hours shooting on the way up... it was pretty spectacular - but bloody hot. I came so close to just stripping off and getting in the water

but it was all worth it... because after a 500 metre climb and scaling a 50 metre scaffold I was above the trees and taking some great shots..

though I'm terrified of heights.... it was worth it.

Other than that we shot all sorts of things, in all sorts of places. We got our own private plane to shoot on courtesy of Royal Brunei

We went back and shot all around the Water village which is really cool... and for once thank GOD they actually let me wear shorts and a t-shirt - as I usually spend most of my time sweating off the pounds in all sorts of stylish gear in the blazing sun.

though don't worry.... they still torture me regularly:-

so just bear in mind - all those times I'm looking cool as a cucumber and having a great time.... I'm dying a little inside and sweating buckets!

We had some ridiculous close calls with borders and time constraints, but we pulled it all off... the final one being an all out run to the coast to record a final link as the sun set:-

And I was still left with the time to enjoy the hotel a wee-bit too:-

Other than that, I have a few candid shots that show you a bit more of the behind the scenes stuff we do:-

me throwing lines into my head...

What's really going on behind the camera

us all camping at the airport looking at the pics from the trip

Anyhoo guys... I hope you like this other sneaky peaky into my world
