  • Report on my exhibitions!!!

    7Hello my AnD fellows,

    So It has been a couple of weeks of absence for me on AnD here...As I have been really busy with things... two exhibitions.. interviews with magazines, tv.....teaching, and the troubled Quinn who was here and just left this afternoon (thanks god.. :-)

    Anyway, on Friday July 18 I had my first opening of New Identity at Whitespace gallery. It turned out to be a very successful show. About 300 ppl showed up. Sold a piece and lots of books.

    7 magazines interviewed and 3 tv shows... And many reviews in the art mags both online and in the papers... So I was very happy with that.

    Onto Saturaday July 19, I had another exhibition, RARE VIEW at Liam's gallery whic was another success. Aboyt 200 ppl showed up and 4 magazines and 3 tv shows interviewed me.

    Also sold a number of books and work.

    For you who missed it, you can check it online by tying my name and the exhibit name and things should come up...

    I am back to normal again for 2 days. Tomorrow i have proctoring to do at school. Tuesday will pack for NY. then Wed have to proctor once more and head to NY at night.

    WIll write to report again once i landed in NYC.

    Congrats on the opening.  Glad you had a good crowd and a lot of media attention.  Nice that your work is entering the public debate on  transsexuals there in Thailand at such a critical moment.  Having the perspective of an artist in such a debate as it enters the consciousness of the general public is unusual.  You had an intuition that this issue was going to be big.  You just didn't know how big.
