Born on the 17th December 1983, in Tulcea city, Romania, without the tiniest previous connection to classical music, Odilia Carmen Chirica was agreed in the year 1999 to study at “George Georgescu” Art School. Only after a year during which she didn’t distinguish herself by any special talent, her classic canto teacher, Mrs. Monica Micula would recognize her vocal abilities. From that moment, Odilia Carmen Chirica, began preparing numerous recitals to be performed at art school and not only, meanwhile being praised and recognized as well as a “laureate” of some local and national classic canto contests and poetry.
In the year 2003 she graduated from the “George Georgescu” Art School, subsequently being accepted to study with “Ovidius” Art Faculty in Constanta, major: musical interpretation. Simultaneously she studies the law at the “Spiru Haret” Law Faculty. With the Fine Arts Faculty she studied under numerous music professors, enrolling under Professor Gabriela Popescu Tiganasu’s canto classes with the Public Art School, a teacher who stood by her, inspiring her above anyone else during the course of her musical way. After her many performances with the faculty and not only, she graduated in the year 2007 with the “Fiordiligi” part in the opera Cossi Fan Tutte by W.A.Mozart at “Oleg Danovski”, the national opera house, in Constanta. After many concerts around the country she will graduate the Public Art School in 2008 and Law Faculty in 2009. At present she is thinking to go further with the Master in both Law and music in the next years to come.
