    Hey,

Back from Stratford-upon-Avon! Have been ill all week and work is super busy too, not had a chance to blog. My throat is seizing up and I think my voice may go soon like three years ago! The pain feels the same and so this time round I will really avoid talking if possible. I have a huge pic heavy blog coming soon as I have finally sorted through my pics on my phone!

On Wednesday, we went to see Paranormal Activity in the West End, ohmygod, it was THE BEST! The whole auditorium screamed at the end, hehe. You should all go see this when it's released.

    Trailer of Paranormal Activity

Pant-shittingly scary, I swear... Ok, I'm going to sleep early now, gotta get up 7am on a SUNDAY, to go to the end of season GRand Prix event at Brooklands tomolo, woohoo... xXx

Read something interesting today in a forum about saving money shopping on Amazon. I don't have time to explain it all as I'm busy and it's too long but I'll copy and paste everything for you to read, and maybe we'll all save money!

    ...interesting!

    **********************

This article in The Times last week says that in 2000, there was a scandal when customers discovered that if they deleted their cookies - the computer files that store information on a user's internet use - they could obtain a different price for the same goods on Amazon. This was because Amazon were offering different prices for the same things to different customers, depending on what their purchasing histories suggested they might be willing to pay.

The article says that this is now common among internet sellers but invisible to the customer; and that Amazon was "unavailable for comment". The Office of Fair Trading is looking into this issue generally.

So, it's not clear (to me, at any rate) whether Amazon are still tailoring prices to individual customers but it might be worth deleting your cookies and seeing what happens - you might get a cheaper price!

In case it's useful, Amazon has also just launched a new iphone ap. There's a thing on it called Amazon Remembers, where you take a photo of any item while you're out shopping, and Amazon sends you a link to buy it on the site.

You would have to compare prices still, but it's quicker than typing

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...cId=1000291661

I suspect this is still true - I looked up my saved items on the Amazon AppStore app on my iPod Touch today and it showed items at the price they were when added to the basket, but selecting an item pushed the price up instantly. Reverting to the saved basket showed the lower price BUT the same items viewed via my desktop show only at the higher price.

There is a way of calling up the items on Amazon with any discount you want, just by hacking the URL a bit. For example:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/search/?n...&pct-off=75-99
...gives you the items in the DVD section with 75%-99% off at the moment. The only difficulty with this is that you need to know the "node" number for the department you want. You can find this out by looking in the URL on the home page for that department. But if there's a section you want to look up regularly, you can do this once and bookmark it.

There is a VERY easy way to prove this theory on your home computer.

Have 2 web browsers installed, lets say Firefox and internet explorer. Only ever login to your Amazon account using your normal main browser of choice. When you want to check a price, use the other browser to find it (without logging in) as it will have no cookie history for your account. Hey presto you can compare the two prices side by side for any difference.

    **********************

Hmm, that's so mean if I've been paying more ='''(

    Two more days till Stratford-upon-Avon!

Next Sunday I am going to the end of season Grand Prix event at Mercedes-Benz Live! I'm going to meet Lewis Hamilton, his team-mate Heikki Kovalainen, double World Champion Mika Häkkinen, David Coulthard and Formula 1 team boss Ross Brawn. Formula 1 drivers Pedro de la Rosa and Anthony Davidson, as well as a host of Mercedes-Benz Touring car and Formula 3 drivers will also be there! Initially, I offered all my free tix to Kz so he can go with all guys but at the last minute, Angela wanted to go, which means I have to go as well! So now it'll be me, Angela and 6 guys.

    Movies

I saw this trailer aaages ago and knew I would love it. I watched it the other week and I love it. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I never knew it was sad. I cried so much man *sniff*

Went to see Taking Woodstock with Geeta and boy, it's such a strange film. It's directed by Ang Lee, so was confused when watching it. 1960s small village in New York taking on a hippy music festival. Weird.

Woah woah woah, I knew this film was going to be gory and it was...brilliant! Great thriller and I was disappointed by the ending. Go see Law Abiding Citizen if you haven't already.

Amy kinda had a 2nd graduation bcos the photographers fugged up the 1st lot of photos, we ended up having to go to Greenwich University to re-take pics with Amy the other week. So the whole family were together and had a nice meal out too

    <3 Bruvva and sisterses! <3

Our fourth 'sister', otherwise known as Mammy Wong!

Mammy Wong modeling here. She was a natural!

Daddy Wong was actually really happy that day! Mother is modeling my new handbag that I mentioned I'd brought a couple of blogs ago!

    Chicken fajitas, nom nom nom!

Went to a Mexican in Greenwich which accidentally undercharged us for one main course, sshhh...

I had three of my four fajitas and felt utterly sick by this point.

I LOVE this pic!!! Can you spot a cheeky monster somewhere?

Aww I love my baby bro and sis so much

Just look at them! My little babies!

Btw, that is my mum and not me!! So scary, I think I really look like my mother!

    xXx

  • High Tea Darling

    Tuesday, Oct 20, 2009 8:35PM / Members only

I REALLY want to have high tea! Really really really wanna have it. I've never been before

Afternoon De-light @ The Metropolitan Hotel, London £24 per person

Afternoon Tea @ Apsleys in The Lanesborough, London £48 per person (waah, so bluddy expensive!)

    try { document.getElementById('image_a').style.display = 'none' } catch (e) { }
Afternoon Tea @ Brown's Hotel, London £35 per person

Afternoon Tea @ Claridges, London £33 per person

Afternoon Tea @ The Ritz, London £37 per person (how gorgeous IS this place?!)

Jen invited me to go high tea with her at The Ritz, somewhere I have ALWAYS wanted to go, but unfortunately, my colleague had the day off work so I couldn't take time off . Gutted!! Oh man, I am going to organise Afternoon Tea with the girls very soon!!

Picasso just emailed this pic of me and Kz from Huge's birthday meal

Eating at Arirang, my fave Korean restaurant.

Which reminds me, I haven't uploaded any pictures recently!

Picasso, the Pimp and me. Aww Pimp carved our names on to this pineapple which he turned up with at the weekend, cute! Please excuse our stoopid poses, which seemed funny at the time!)

At the BBoy World Finals, it was really really good. Korea should have won over America when they were battling but they fixed it with a tie and then gave it USA, grr!!

At Geeta's house warming party the other week. Everyone's buying houses apart from me .

My fake ham sup cousin's birthday the other week at China City, was a really fun night .

My primary school reunion the other month (I'm rubbish at updating pics!). It was so cute seeing all these people I mostly hadn't seen in 17 years! Aww we have another hook up next month, can't wait!

    Picasso's birthday meal last month

Followed by lots of drinks at Baroque !

    Ok, I'm outta here! xXx

    Bow Clutch Bag £19.50

    Vintage Bow Bag £19.50

    Dogtooth Clutch Bag £29.50

    I also loved the bags from the other ranges;

Faux Leopard Skin Bowler Bag £19.50

    Leather Soho Bag £89.

I really loved that Leather Soho Bag, but it's too expensive!   I ended up buying the below Faux Snake Skin Tota Bag for £29.99, lovely!

I have a weird obsession with animal prints, especially leopard print!

Jill Stuart's Sweetness Collection for Christmas 2009!! Oh, SOO beautiful!

This limited edition collection will be released in Japan on November 6th.
  • Lunch Time Spree

    Friday, Oct 16, 2009 11:21PM / Members only

    I hate popping out at lunch times in case I spend money I don't have on things I don't need but I was feeling so lethargic so I wandered out and have now come back with;

a pair of knee high boots
a pair of patent ballet pumps
    2 mascaras
    1 eyeshadow palettes
    1 lipstick
    1 nail varnish
    and some toiletries!! wtf?!!

As well as my fave Maxfactor Masterpiece Max, I also got Bourjois Yes to Volume No to Clumps Mascara which has a tiny comb. It'll be interesting to try that as I don't often go for these wacky gimmicky things.

Will blog more later. Have a great weekend! xXx
