    This weekend it's The Bad and the Beautiful with Kirk Douglas(Jonathan Shields), Lana Turner, Barry Sullivan and Dick Powell. A movie producer needs help after making three flops. Too bad the people he needs to help hate him. The new re-release dvd of Jackie's Crime Story. And The Postman Always Rings Twice with John Garfield(Frank) and Lana Turner (Cora). Is Cora's husband a goner after she has a fling?

    Crime Story was good. First time I've seen it! I really agree with the choice of deleted scenes though. :) I can see that Jackie tried to get back to something like it in New Police Story. Only the action doesn't compare.


    Bad and the Beautiful- Kirk Douglas does a great rotten b*stard.

    The Postman... should have been 'how to be lousy at committing murder'.


    Of the two oldies I'd pick Bad and the Beautiful. Crime Story is a different animal and shouldn't be compared to the others.

    I just saw Crime Story last night.  In the Director's Interview it says it was first offered to Jet who turned it down.  Jackie did a great job and there was some paintabulous stunt work done---ouchee.  

    The other two are classics too.  I recently saw the bad and the beautiful.  What goes around...

    Tonight I have Never on a Sunday and then...I'm not sure.  I have a bunch from the library.
