Recently, I am listening to this album, On an Island. As a big fan of Pink Floyd, I didn't even know their guitarist David Gilmour had released his solo album at 2006. What A Shame!

This album was released at 2006, which is 22 years after his last solo album About Face. I knew this since I bought the concert DVD of David Gilmour, Remember That Night. There are some new songs which are not from Pink Floyd. And those songs are so impressive to me, since they sounds modern, not like the old songs from PF. So I search and knew about this CD.
Like PF style, the album is arranged nicely(I dont know what word can descrīption). Songs are full of 'blue' and pictures. I can't imagine a 60+ person can keep his and style feeling, enhance to an unreachable space(for me). Full of 'blue', touching my heart. There aren't too much lyrics in the songs, his music speaks.
This is the recent live dvd of David Gilmour, with the last performance of PF keyboard player Richard Wright. He passed away at 15th Sept 2008. Such a lost to the music industry.
