IKU History : 14 Live Videos from 2007

If you want to see and hear how IKU were before 2008, check out the following videos, produced by Les Films du Crépuscule and shot in Paris at the Batofar, on February 4th, 2007 during the music festival "Dirty Babes Fest".

Among those "old" songs, the only ones we're still playing since our new line-up, are Extremist, Courtney (a new version) and Wolf's Smile.

Some IKU's 2008 videos

Check out some of reharsals and live performances that we did between January and June 2008 with our new drummer, So. Noel. More stuff coming soon !

Private Showcase performed on January 20th, 2008, one week before our first gig with Sophie. Excerpts of three new songs : "Wolf's Smile", "Blackberry Morning" and "Daddy Cracker".

Improvisation during a music rehearsal, on April 13th, 2008. It finally becames one of our new tracks, "Harpies of RMI (Muscador)".

Live performance of the song "Wolf's Smile" at the Pix Bar in Paris, on June 7th, 2008.

Who is IKU ?

IKU is a French band formed in 2004. Members included Akasha Lust a.k.a. Sick Lust (Bass guitar and singer), Solange Protin (guitar), Anne Mercier (guitar) and Céline Vanier (drums), who left the band and was replaced by So. Noel in December 2007. They’re starring in the documentary film Rock 'n' Roll Girls (2008) directed by Frederic Ambroisine.

The band, close to its parisian roots and to many bands of Paris, has already played in almost 50 different places in France and recorded 2 E.P CD ("Tara" and "Urban's Crack") that will be listenable soon.

A friend of us told us about that website so we said, why not stay in touch with the rest of the world?
Let us introduce us, IKU is a 4-headed band based in Paris, we play rock'n'roll since and we've already recorded 2 EP. We gonna add music soon !
