Sembonia's Winter/Autumn 2008 Runway

To launch its Autumn/Winter 2008 collection, Sembonia organized a star-studded fashion show on the 12 of October 2008, at Takashimaya Square. Allan Wu and Angela May hosted the event. Some of the FLY Entertainment Celebrities like Rebecca Tan, Stephanie Carrington, Elizabeth Tan and Pamelyn Chee join in the fun down the catwalk runway too.

Being the 1st ambassador of Sembonia it is my honour to make an appearance for this fashion show.

I felt extremely honoured to be selected as the ambassador of Sembonia for the first time in 14 years. Especially since they never had one previously, makes it even more flattering for me.

I was told that Sembonia felt that my image is in line with their target audience which represents fashion-conscious and independent women of today.

My first duty as the Ambassador was to name the Autumn/Winter 2008 collection. It was indeed a challenge as I've never done anything like this before. I came up with a few names but need to decide which name is suitable for the collection.

This name has to suit Sembonia and stands out. And secondly, it has to suit me and Sembonia and still stands out. Though job.....I damaged some brain cell along the way..... nah... It was actually a feat for me.

I hope the new collection will like its new name "Prelude". Prelude was chosen because it marks a new chapter for Sembonia. And I felt that the name connects me and Sembonia. I believe it is important that prelude marks an introduction to a good beginning.

So I hope Prelude will give a good beginning to Sembonia. I am definitely looking forward to more great collaborations.

Singapore Hits awards 2008 新加坡金曲奖

Singapore Hit Awards, the most prestigious event in the chinese music industry is here again!

I have just received an invitation to present an award at the Singapore Hit Awards 2008.

I'll be present the 优秀新人奖 Outstanding Newcomer category. How exciting. ....looking forward to it.

I hope the award will goes to 伍家辉. The very popular theme song of 881 一人一半 (one half) is sang by him. Jia Hui is such a dear friend of mine. His singing career is looking promising and I wish him all the best.

Trolley- My new playground.

I have been visiting this playground since a few months ago. I never get bored and will never ever get sick of this place.

This playground is a concept boutique that showcases a wide array of home accessories, lifestyle products and whimsical gifts.

In my opinion, this shop is enticing. Things inside are intriguing and inspiring.
This shop is called Trolley. Trolley is located at 20 Amoy Street and Trolley is my new shop.

Since I am more available for Trolley now. I should blog and introduce Trolley to all of you…..or you’d rather say that I am doing online publicity here.  Trolley had it's official opening last month. With the support from the media, families and friends, Trolley’s opening was a blast!

So What actually inspire me to start Trolley?

When it comes birthdays, housewarmings, Christmas or any occasions that requires gifts. I would like to find something of a good design, exclusive, unique, different and yet timeless. It was the difficulty of finding these unique yet beautiful products that urged me to start TROLLEY.

So, as the name suggests, TROLLEY is like my cart that I personally picked & select the products from all over the world. Some of the items are award winning designer products. Some furniture are design by my partner and I am involved in the designing of some items as well.

This playground of mine is a dream come true. It's entirely a different journey. I am enjoying so much. It's challenging. It's enriching. Of course when figures are not right it can be very stressful too.

Something I will splurge on... Designs I will wait for ...

Apple is always coming up with new products, new colours, improved design, higher specs. How can you ever resist! If you are an Apple fan.... you will understand.

I am obviously one of the very willing victims. I can get so crazy over their products. From the Ipod, nano,shuffle, Apple Tv to MacBook, iMac, iphone.... I often have to convince myself that I don't need to upgrade.

This time round I am a sucker for the new Macbook.

I am definitely gonna get the 15-inch MacBook. My currently Mac is just as good but this time round I just feel like splurging. Just launched in States and no news about the launch in singapore yet. So gonna be quite a long wait.

It's alright! Beautiful things are worth the wait.
