Film "EMOTICON"

Mi Kwan holds the leading role, Lily in the feature film EMOTICON by Christian LARA.

SYNOPSIS

Lily, a young Chinese girl, meets Tom, an epicure seventy-year old painter who lives in Provence with his four models (the four seasons). Tom, affected in secret by an incurable disease, will change Lily's life: he's gonna help her to open her eyes to the world and to lift the curtain on her taboos and her own desires.

Through unexpected events that awake her senses, Lily will leave her good girl life to try to discover herself.

Founded on the theme of “resilience”, EMOTICON is about the meeting of two people apparently opposed, although they will help each other to cross an important step of their lives.
In this refined writing, Christian LARA portrays a metaphor of the emerging China (symbolized by the heroine « Lily » ) facing old Europe (represented by « Tom » the painter).

After attending the World Film Festival of Montreal 2010 (Canada), the International Film Festival of Goa (India) 2010 and the FEMI 2011 (Guadeloupe - french West Indies), Mi Kwan just attended the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles (USA) - February 2011 - and had to occasion to meet the legendary Sidney POITIER.

Mi Kwan starts her first steps on the stage at the adolescence with a musical “EMILIE JOLIE”.
In 2004, she goes on a parisian tour followed by Avignon's Festival with the comedy “BAROUFE IN CHIOGGIA” by Carlo Goldoni.
Many sides of her acting will be revealed by working with Blanche Salant and Jack Waltzer.

Then she gets several parts in short movies, institutional films and commercials.
It's in the film “TOUT EST ENCORE POSSIBLE” that she draws the director Christian Lara’s attention to her. The latter gives her the leading role in “EMOTICON” by Marc Michel’s side.
