Born in Kobe, Japan and raised in Tokyo until age 6, she and her family moved to the outskirts of Philly, Pennsylvania where she lived in oblivion for a while. Most of her 20`s were spent in NYC graduating from the New School University and later earning a certificate at ICP. Mika enjoys shooting people, real & raw, but also loves the make believe world of fashion glitz.
She is currently represented by her agent STIJL (www.stijl.co.jp).
Besides photography, Mika also engages in art direction, curation and editing art publications.
Since being back in Asia, she has lived and worked in Hong Kong for a couple of years and is now back in her homeland, at least for a while.....
