    Parody of Whisky Speech

In an average American parent’s eyes, they see video games as a possible hazard to their children's health and way of thinking. They see the potential of their children being dragged, so to speak, into the game which may later cause them to become more violent, get repetitive strain injury that may cause epileptic seizures if they play for too long.  That it is also a waste of time and money that teaches nothing civilized but violence and gore.  Also children may confuse what wrongs and rights are allowed in games and those different in reality.  A few years back a kid shot his friend and could not get that he killed him. The police were confused as the teen explained that he didn’t believe that his friend was really dead, that all he needed to do was press the restart button to have his friend back.  When the teen finally understood that there is no restart button, he saw how the knowledge of the game over took his way of thinking.  Also children become less active and adopt bad habits of lose control and becoming more aggressive.  Common complaints found among children obsessed with games are eye strains, wrist, neck and back pains, headaches, hallucinations, nerve and muscle damages can cause obesity in the long run.

However, even so, there are many good things about video games as well.  It has both a physical and mental positive impact for people to learn things about the world and how to grow up.  It can improve your hand-eye coordination and become fit as the wii has proven.  Games can be educational with many stories that have to do with the world of today of science and as well as historical events (blood+ is based off of Vietnam).  It can also improve children's logical thinking ability and problem solving skills. Games such as SimCity, Age of Mythology, etc where gamers have to build houses, cities and develop war strategies help them to develop their logical skills and also help in decision making. Educational games help to improve their communication and problem solving abilities, alertness, locating things easily without straining too much and so on.  You can make friends with people who enjoy the games you do.
