    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Does anyone know where I can get Libby's Pumpkin Pie
filling and pumpkin pie spices in HK?  I'm craving this stuff
like mad!  I'll be celebrating Thanksgiving at the American
Club this year and YES there will be pumpkin pie on the
menu, but I dunno if I can wait that long though.

    Hahahhaaaa...

Anyone taking advantage of Black Friday deals and shopping
    online?

airport, then back and forth to Asia World Expo for dress rehearsals and
    performances.

Here we are in our Chinese costumes performing the fan dance for over 13000
    people!

  • IFF 2009 in Beijing

    Thursday, Nov 19, 2009 1:11PM / Members only

I spent the last few days braving the cold in Beijing and attending
the 6th annual International Finance Forum held at Diaoyutai.
Heads of state, leaders from the world's major financial institutions,
Nobel Prize winners, Ivy League professors, UN reps from all over
the world converged to discuss going green and the recovery from
    the financial crisis.

I arrived with a team from HK, to capture all the important moments
and interview some of the delegates.  Decked out in a beautiful shade
of purple is Jenny Shipley (above)
, the former PM of New Zealand,
whom I got to interview, along with Khalid Malik (UN), Domingo
Cavallo (Former Minster of Finance, Argentina, Harvard Prof),
Maurice Strong (UN, Environment Guru & Canadian!) and others.

My sis, who's studying Mandarin in Beijing took me out in the evenings,
    we hung out near
her campus in Wudaokou which was pretty cool.  Total
K-town as it seemed that for every Chinese person there was a Korean.
So of course we had to go for Korean BBQ =).  We also went to this
restaurant with Chinese performances, chilled with her classmates, and
    just tried to keep warm!
    It was SOOO COLD!

As the IFF came to a close, we exited Diaoyutai where the police were set
up and the red carpet was rolled out for Obama & Clinton's arrival.  No
glimpse of the US powerhouses though. =(
  • SAYONABE HOWARWEEN

    Sunday, Nov 8, 2009 2:45AM / Members only

We celebrated our second annual Sayonabe Howarween
    last week.
And once again I had a hand in designing and con
    structing the winning
    costume.
    WOOHOO!

This is the grand prize winner Kim Jong Il and I.

Other alter egos included Ariel from the Little Mermaid, Snow White,
Gretal (without Hansel), a USC song girl & her Trojan, Darth Vadar,
    Dragon Ball characters, Elvis, Popeye,
    Little Red Riding Hood, Ben
Bernanke, 7-11 in Heaven, Artemis, HK Ghost, Chinese Emporer,
Woody and myself as a fairy!

This was last year's costume which took me DAYS to construct! Each
ping pong ball/fish roe was painstakingly spray painted and each piece

    of "rice" was glued on.

Which one do you prefer?  Kim Jong Il or the giant California Roll?

  • PROJECT DANCE 2009

    Tuesday, Oct 27, 2009 2:35AM / Members only

This year's Project Dance HK was attended by dancers from
Singapore, Philippines, USA, Taiwan and of course Hong Kong.
It was held in TST behind the Cultural Center with HK's
    stunning skyline in the background.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this amazing project,
    here
is some information regarding their mission:

Project Dance® is a movement of dancers seeking to positively
impact culture through artistic integrity. Our desire is to see
every dancer nurtured to their fullest human potential for their
own wellbeing and their contribution to the world. We offer
training, education, and performance opportunities for dancers
worldwide who desire to dance with integrity to inspire.

    I had the opportunity to
perform with Glory Dance, a company
I've been working with for the past 6 months.  We did the
Chinese fan dance and got to wear beautiful pink costumes!

It was a hectic day and so exhausting for so many of the dancers
    but so much fun!

Now back to rehearsals for more performances at Asia World
    Expo this Nov.

Not to scare anyone. But it doesn't hurt to be notified. "Category 4 or 5" super typhoon moving 24 kilometers per hour in the general direction of Northern Luzon (Philippines) and the Taiwan area.
