animal rescue

I have 2 dogs. a Border Collie Mix named Tommy and a Pudel Mix named Teddy. I got Tommy 9 years ago and Teddy 8 years ago. and I love them to death. I got them from people who really didn't care for them... and I have to admit I spoil them... maybe a little too much. anyways on friday I went for a walk and Tommy saw this female dog a little ahead from us. so in the urge to get closer he pulls me behind him towards the other dog. (since they are  wearing a device around belly and chest they have an easy way on me...) but since he is love blind or so he doesn't see the street crossing and wants to run over the street just in front of a car. so I had to pull him back and told him not to pull me so hard... all of a sudden I hear somebody yelling behind me. I turn around and see a women in her late 60ies bitching at me how I treat my dogs and she is going to report me to the police. I stand there pretty perplexed (and Tommy and Teddy must have felt the same cause they both sat down and looked at her as well) and before I could say something she says: "you are not German anyways! so what are you doing in this country?!" now I was pretty pissed. I asked her what my nationality had to do with how I treat my dogs. and I told her I am probably more German than she was (hello? I mean my mom is not German, but as far as I know my dad is and my full name is Michaela Hegendörfer. how much more German can you be. oh yes I'm so sorry I'm not blond and blue eyed...). finally I told her I am studying law at a German university and I said why don't we call the police right now cause I could think about reporting her very well... after I had said that she just turned around and walked away. seriously I was born in Germany, went to school here, and learned a lot about this country... and sure there have been some coincidents where my nationality and foreign looks might have played a role in how I have been treated... but never I have been attacked on open street and so to speak have been told I am not welcome to live here... I think the terror hysteria plays a big role. they have arrested 3 terrorists who have planed to bomb Frankfurt airport and other facilities last week.... but 2 of those terrorists were Germans. yes blond guys. I don't know. I feel sad and ashamed for this country. politically and socially....
