When we traveled to China 3 years ago, we were part of a tour and we told the tour guides that we have a child with a nut allergy. While everyone else had the 8-course lunches and dinners with all the inherent variety, my kid was served boiled geens and pork for all meals for those 10 or so days. She didn't complain but I felt so bad for her. She understood but I'm sure she felt a little left out and shortchanged. The good thing was that she had no allergic reactions while on the tour. We did have a problem in HK though at the end of the trip when I let her eat an egg tart. Wah. Scared me! =(
This summer the kids are doing swimming and a a leadership academy (to do volunteer work within the city's rec dept). I need to sign the younger one up for sth bc she needs the stimulation, otherwise she'd be bouncing off the walls everyday until school begins in the Fall.
Yes, I know trunki, I saw that @MotherCare, Taiwan; but I don't want to hold one more suitcase. I try my best to reduce the things I have when taking a flight. And I educated Amelie that Mom can no longer hold her like a baby, and she's better now.
I wonder about the power windows in our 2 cars. Would they even open after flying off a bridge and crashing into the water? I think there's better chance of survival in my SUV bc we'd be able to get out from the back as the front end sinks. Morbid.
"say good bye to a few items." Mom threw out a few of my things after I moved out. Since I didn't take them, they weren't that important but still....
I set aside some little girl clothes to give to a friend of ours. Never got around to give. Pretty sure she's outgrown the stuff. Some people don't like to receive hand-me-downs for their kids thinking it was a put-down. I never had a problem with it. heheh.
Thanks Miaka. I love tumble weeds! Peachey is spot on, vacuum before shampooing and condition before blow drying. Okay, I may be mixing my chores, but trust me on the vacuuming. I use to train people to clean historic homes and holy sites in Israel. Of course, if this is already done, my words are a waste, but I wanted to give you something back. :)
