• CSET exam

  so i have pretty much been MIA blogger since returning to the states.  admittedly, i'm addicted to facebook and the ability to write just a sentence as an update.

  i took my final state exam (the hard one) last month and recieved the unofficial scores for the 3 subtests as all PASS!!!  yay!  i don't have to go thru that again.  it was 150 multiple choice questions and 11 essays that had to be completed in 5 hours.  i used 4.5 hours.  the subject matter included, language arts, us history, world history, california history, math, physical / earth / life science, physical education, music and art.  now all that's left is student teaching and my thesis.

  when i was lil, i used to love reading about endangered species.  i would pour over mags and books about pandas.  i was also interested in the environment.  i wonder why i never persued it?  somewhere along the way, i got lost in .... something, somewhere ....so now that i'm on the road to teaching, i hope i remember to teach my students to take care of the world around them.

• Digital Book Reader

  so i've been eyeing digital readers for a while, but still havent broken down to buy one yet ..... 1) bc it's a bit pricey, 2) i'm waiting for them to fix design flaws and 3) i havent really bought an actual book at retail price in a while opting to buy at used book stores or the library book sale.  and of course, i can borrow books at the library for free.  but the shopper part of me still wants the lil gadget.  perhaps when i move back to hk and am working again....and where english book availability is low.

  i miss my hubby. i'm not ashamed to admit it. he was here for 2 wks after being apart for 7 mos and parting was really hard. raising 3 kids alone is hard. but do i really have a right to be sad and bummed? all those military wives don't get to see their hubbys for years on end. those military dads come home not even knowing their kids. and some of them can't skype on a daily basis. so do i really have it that bad? no. but damnit, i'm just not that strong a woman to not pout and cry every so often.
