  I hear ya.  As much as you'd love to go along, it's his experience and an opportunity to feel important and independent, apart from his family and his protection cocoon.  Remember how much Jet remembered from his first trip to the US?  Apart from his family and with the wushu team.  Scary but yet, upon reflection, character building.  
  
  Wish him luck for me.  Too bad Star is no longer with us.  She would've been fairly close to the performance site.  See Ohio is really seeing what is called "the Heartland" of America.  I'm really not sure that's the case anymore but he'll see a piece of it.  
  
  Are they going to be traveling anywhere other than Cincinatti?  Chicago is only 5 hours away.  That's a city I've not yet visited and I'd love to go there.  11 hours to New York City.  
  
  What an awesome experience he's going to have.  I hope he makes the most of it and is prepared to meet new people from different countries and take names, addresses and phone numbers.  If he's as friendly as his mom, he'll do just that!

  Are you and the family also making the trip?  It's an enormous expense so I could see why you might have scaled back that wish.

  The trick is going to be in finding a voice instructor who'll recognize and nurture that talent.  We have a family friend whose kid started voice lessons when she was in 8th grade through high school.  She's doing well and most importantly it helped get her college scholarships (they could never afford the school she's in)---being an A+ student didn't hurt either.

  maybe I was confusing Gautrain with blue train.　its like the Orient Express,right?
  was used to take blue train to go to grand　parents house in Kyushu in childhood.
  was common one.Kyushu Shinkansen has took place of blue train. i love its commercial though it was on air for a couple of days before the big earthquake.

  i heard it is the luxurious train , "moving hotel.　I prefer slow train trip because we can enjoy scenery from  window and take time to have  train lunch　: )
