• A musical again

  "A Time For Christmas"
  
  It's almost time for the Christmas season....the decorations are all over the malls.....

  and yes I've committed myself to another Musical again and we're in the final weeks of rehearsal.

  It's an amateur production, with a fun, fast moving story and a must see for everyone irrespective of your personal beliefs or religion... It brings the time of Christmas into perspective and back to the place where it all started... 2000 years ago...
  
  All with a TWIST of course!!!
  
  If you enjoy stories like 'a Christmas Carol' (Scrooge) or Oliver Twist or even Annie, you will love this production...
  
  It is a Broadway style piece and most probably the last time it will be
  staged in Cape Town on this scale. But who knows...
  
  
  Some interesting facts about production:
  
  140 cast members
  20 church congregations involved
  12 scene changes
  350 costumes

   

  I've added a pre-production promo clip - it's mostly in Afrikaans - my mother tounge...but in essence everyone is inviting the viewer to come watch the production.

  You'll notice a very tired....me - from 01:33.....as I had just come from Wushu class....straight into rehearsal....

  so that's what I've been up to in my "spare time" the past few weeks.

  I love a good advertisement.....as you know - the funny ones get me going.

  This is a local "cable tv" co.... - you can judge whether it's funny - it's typical South African humour though....

• Her first ballet concert

  A bit of nostalgia....you guys know how I love dance - any form....

  When I fell pregnant with my daughter - one of the first things I bought was a pair of ballet shoes.

  Well she's 5 now and has just been in her first ballet concert.  A real little ladybug!

  She fluttered across the stage - the audience went; "Awhhhh!"

  I cried - her 10 year old brother burst into laughter and Dad almost fell asleep......

• Stormy weather

  Remember this sunny blue sky photo I posted some time ago - Table Mountain - and the City of Cape Town in the background?

  

  Well - this is what the same view looked like - today - with a stranded ship on it's shore - and the cause of it all - the stormy weather - !
