  • Reiki at the Elf Fantasy Fair

    Friday, May 1, 2009 5:43AM / Standard Entry

    So... Last Saturday, I followed part of our wonderful Reiki crew and cast to the Netherlands to the Elf Fantasy Fair, which, as you might guess, is very aptly described by its name.

    Pedro, the director of Reiki, met with Cela, Annelien and me at the entrance showed us the stand and the absolutely super-cool posters our dear friend Reni made for the film (I'm going to nag and nag and nag 'til I have a copy of every poster at my place! Pedro; consider yourself warned! lol)

    Anyways, as Pedro arrived a day before us he gave us the grand tour of the parc around the castle where it all took place, after which we were joined by another lovely actor from the movie; Vincent (who isn't on AnD but should be ;)

    Of course, I was armed and dangerous; willing to defy Elves, zombies and creatures of the night to get you all some nice pics.

    So, as not to annoy my friends too much I left my camera tucked away in the beginning, but after we'd gotten back to the stand (or maybe just a bit sooner) I couldn't control the urge that took me.
    Here we go!
    ELVES! lol

    or at least someone who could pass for one...

    And this was a girl who had all the boys worked up going 'ohh' and 'ahh' and 'have you seen the SteamPunk Girl??' each and every time they met... I'd have been scared if I had been her lol but I have to say, she had the most awesome of outfits!

    Ohh, not only elves and anime are gathered there, there was also the very best clone of ...
    Lady's and gentlemen... Captain Jack Sparrow.
    Really, he had it all. From the details in the costume to the way he walked. Awesome.
    (although he wobbled too much to get a sharp shot... *cries*)

    Nice Goth

    Cute Evil Twins

    Happy Elves...

    Lonely strangers...

    Very proud directors!! Everyone, meet Pedro! (if you haven't already) lol

    And of course, we have Cela. The Only Man the Godfather answers to and who came to the fair as the Celafication of the Batman meets Phantom of the Oprah. Awesomeness ensued.

    Find the contradiction. (Even if you don't know the characters you should be able to find it)

    (is it a trap?)

    Vincent!! and Cela ;)

    Looking too cool for their own good.

    And more general Strangeness...

    There will be more to come, much more, but now *yawns* I'm off. Hope you enjoyed and I will see you for the next installment of 'Elf Fair'

    Sweet dreams...

    A promising story of which we recently shot the teaser in the hope of gathering the funds to make this feature and give this gem of a story all the attention it deserves.

    The cast is great, there's some of the Reiki-gang teaming back up in this one as well as some other established faces!

    Monday, Dec 29, 2008 6:38AM / Standard Entry

    Dedicated to my dear friend and long time companion, Manouche,
    who died today after a hard struggle.

    Dylan Thomas - And Death Shall Have No Dominion

    And death shall have no dominion.

    Dead men naked they shall be one

    With the man in the wind and the west moon;

    When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,

    They shall have stars at elbow and foot;

    Though they go mad they shall be sane,

    Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;

    Though lovers be lost love shall not;

    And death shall have no dominion.

    And death shall have no dominion.

    Under the windings of the sea

    They lying long shall not die windily;

    Twisting on racks when sinews give way,

    Strapped to a wheel, yet they shall not break;

    Faith in their hands shall snap in two,

    And the unicorn evils run them through;

    Split all ends up they shan't crack;

    And death shall have no dominion.

    And death shall have no dominion.

    No more may gulls cry at their ears

    Or waves break loud on the seashores;

    Where blew a flower may a flower no more

    Lift its head to the blows of the rain;

    Through they be mad and dead as nails,

    Heads of the characters hammer through daisies;

    Break in the sun till the sun breaks down,

    And death shall have no dominion.

    Do not go gentle into that good night,

    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

    Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

    Though wise men at their end know dark is right,

    Because their words had forked no lightning they

    Do not go gentle into that good night.

    Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright

    Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,

    Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

    Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,

    And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,

    Do not go gentle into that good night.

    Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight

    Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,

    Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

    And you, my father, there on the sad height,

    Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.

    Do not go gentle into that good night.

    Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
