What a great weekend at Hip Hop Kemp in Czech Republic! We had a amazing time and met a lot of old and new friends! Big shouts to Lady Daisey, Batsauce, 3rd Party, J-Live, Killa Kela, Sticky Dojah, Maria, Santschir, Karin, Tricky Tess, Qwazaar, Werd, Amewu, Mesh, Alesh, That fuckin Sara and all the people who joined Hip Hop Kemp this year with us. Thanks!

Hype & Dunloop ft. Afrika Islam & Mr Mixx (2 Live Crew)

Word up! The last weekend was crazy allover! First we went to Hamburg, Club Moondoo on the Hamburg's famous Reeperbahn. It just happened to be the nationwide Harley Davidson Weekend and you could see the Hellfire Machines All City... + the usual Reeperbahn madness... the Moondoo Club was incredibly nice, unique concept, great hotel and all that... pure fun! Afrika Islam aka Charlie Funk spun with us at this night for his 1st residency Bday Bash and it was a blast!
The next day was scheduled to be the Miami Bass and Old School night in Berlin's Cassiopeia featuring the legendary Mr Mixx of the 2 Live Crew!! The party was just crazy!! Straight up Miami Bass and Old School Hip Hop, Funk & some weird Clubtunes + the usual Michael Jackson Medleys (like allover he world right now)... f.....g awesome!!

Dubai / Abu Dhabi Tour 2009

I just had the chance to jump on a plane to the United Arabian Emirates. Visited the cities of Abu Dhabi & Dubai to perform a the Chevrolet Urban Challenge which included performances, live bands, sport activities and a car customization contest. It was amazing to see how much money you can put on top of already extraordinary cars! Besides me our team included MC Trix (of Battle of the Year fame), Old School DJ Mesia, the B-Boys Thomster & Earthquake from Footwork Orange, Beatbox Maestro Zeero & Graf Legend Can Two. What can i say? It was an amazing trip, with lots of crazy things happened. This part of the world was another great experience to me that i don't want to miss. Short trip to Tel Aviv... lots of fun with DJ Mesh, lots of good food like ethopian tatar, israelian humus & sandwiches from iraq... stayed almost too long on the beach... 8-)

Hip Hop Kemp 2008

Well, the Hip Hop Kemp was crazy, like every year since they started it 7 years ago. For those who are don't know 'bout it... it's the biggest festival in europe for Underground Hip Hop and the genres around, held in the Czech Republic ca. 1h drive from Prague eastwards.
On the first day we saw some great shows from Pete Philly & Perquisite from Amsterdam, perfoming with live musicians and covering some classics like King Bee's "Back By Dope Demand" (!), germany's Kool Savas first international appearance, France' own Wax Tailor with a refreshment for all the "not 24h rap" listeners, Turntable Jazz with Frank Nitty, Guilty Simpson, Illa Jay & multiple Worldchampion Rafik on the decks ripping it totally (!), swedish quality as usual from the Looptroop Rockers and EMC with the legendary Juice Crew Member Masta Ace and his crewmates Wordsworth, Punchline & Strick. The night ended, like every year with too much drinks, at the backstage hangar listening to DJ Haitian Star's selection of good old 80s Hip Hop =)
The second day went down with highlights like Mr. Lif & Akrobatik, Majors from Denmark, i.e. Dj Static & Dj Noise, two of europe's best Hip Hop Djs, with a killer performance, Zion I with DJ Vinroc on the 1200s , the Juice Crew Queen Roxanne Shante with Bahamadia and DJ Shortee on the 12s + a great performance by Atmosphere. Once again, party till the break of dawn...
The third day started out heavy for all of us, as we were partying too hard the days before. So everybody was just waiting for the performance of The Roots... and nobody was disapointed (!!!). Later on i was rocking the Hangar with my partner Jim Dunloop on the keys and catched a beautiful crowd that really don't wanted to leave the building...
All in all it was a great experience again to see 20000 party people joining the nice atmosphere over the weekend. I just can recommend this festival to everybody in europe or who like to visit the next summer!
